They haven't doctored the clip, have they? so in what sense have Labour 'been caught out'? He clearly says he was "unfortunate" to have been in Manchester.

I'm sure the right wing media will be all over it.
He was referring to the Tory conference. Labour are trying to pretend he is talking about Manchester the place, not an event that was being held there. I didn't say they doctored it!

"The clip of Mr Goodwin speaking at Reform UK’s 2023 conference was shared to the Labour party’s social media channels this week, and has since had over 1.5 million views. It features text saying: “This is what Reform’s latest candidate thinks about where he’s standing to represent.”

I see the 15yr old who killed a 12yr old cannot be named because of legal reasons. What a crock of ****. That’s a vastly out of date rule & should be scrapped/ altered. He’s a monster & shouldn’t be able to hide.
I suspect once he’s got his sentence, they’ll lift the naming as he sounds like an evil little ****

He apparently also beat an old lady up with her walking srick and threw her into the river a few days beforehand. I am not sure if naming him does anything than fuel the public's morbid interest but i hope he goes to prison for a very long time. Pure evil.

At 15 he’s still effectively a child himself.
And quite likely 14 at the time of the offence. There has to be a point where the age of an offender is considered to be a factor in the crime, even in extreme cases.

In this instance the boy seems to be not so much a knife carrying thug but more a sadistic psychopath, (not that I'm an expert in this type of behaviour, just going on the media reports) and you would expect the authorities to be monitoring him very closely as previous serious child offenders have been. It's quite possible he will be detained in a secure hospital/institution for some time but I don't think naming him serves any useful purpose.

This is not about showing sympathy to offenders rather than the victims but more about the problem of "how does society view child criminals and how do we deal with them?"

So in Gorton and Denton.

The Reform Party, alleged bastion of the working man has selected a tv presenter / political commentator from St Albans.

Meanwhile the 'woke' Greens have selected a plumber from Trafford.
Seems like a good idea but if you arrange to go to his MP's surgery it will cost you a £150 call out fee. Then he'll suck in air through his teeth and say "this won't be cheap, but you are paying for my know-how".

"I'm up to eyes in it at the moment, how about August?".

It's a woman actually. You misogynist bigots. <laugh>

That's how the Greens show they're still woke!
