Honestly, why not? Can't **** things up as badly as these clowns.

I try to be open minded, but I cannot honestly fathom how anyone can pretend that this government aren't better than at least that last Conservative majority or the May clown show after she threw away her majority.

The vast majority of everything wrong with the country is directly attributable to the Conservative Party.

Now people 18 months later people seem to have amnesia and either want to go back to the Conservatives or go even further to the Reform Party which is Farage and exclusively former Conservatives.

I can get not liking this Government don't get me wrong they are far from my ideal either, but there is no World in which they haven't been an improvement on everything that happened since the 2017 general election.

Most importantly I am not seeing anyone else who is remotely a viable alternative, I suppose I dont mind the Lib Dems but they are able to take luxury positions that you couldn't really take in Government.

Conservatives - Ran the country into the ground and haven't learned a thing.

Reform - The even more crooked wing of the Tories led by someone you wouldn't trust at your Nan's front door.

Greens - Russia on the war path, the US turning against us? Lets leave NATO and get rid of the nuclear deterrent! Also we want green energy infrastructure but no nuclear and no pylons in my constituency thanks.

Like I said, I don't want anyone to have a majority as no party have shown they can be trusted with one.

Burnham would no doubt be a good Prime Minister, but first he has to walk away from his current job, then he has to go through the correct electoral process. No doubt fast tracked in to a "safe" seat, but even that is no guarantee that he would get elected in the current climate, Reform could hijack the seat and what would that leaves us with? I suspect this is not the time. The current Labour group should concentrate on directing Starmer in the right (left?) direction.

I hope this is some kind of sick joke. Look at the utter mess Reform are making in the councils they control. It seems that people need services, and that money for those services has to be raised by taxation.
As for Farage, do you seriously want a PM who is simultaneously up Putin’s arse and Trump’s?
For the record, I detest Starmer too, but he is actually doing a solid job in some areas, if you drill down past the Daily Mail headlines. And never forget the way the Tories broke this country over 14 years.
I don't detest Starmer that's reserved for Farage PLC and the tories that broke Britain. He's just totally underwhelming Burnham has more kerb appeal and has done well for Manchester. People are impatient fixing things is going to take time there's no quick fix but as you say there's been progress.

Farage used to demand by-elections for defecting politicians why aren’t Reform’s new recruits doing so? Petition for by-elections to be called automatically for defector MPs. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/737660

She will be out come the election. I don't think there is a safer Tory seat in the country.than Fareham. Even my dog would win the seat wearing his dark blue rosette. Not that I am thinking of voting Tory!

With Suella gone and perhaps a few more to follow, this is a win-win for Badenoch as long as she develops policies to recapture the traditional Tory vote that appeals to their supporters in places like St Albans and Winchester. Among these would be contining Starmer's improving relationships with the EU.

This would be the smart thing for her to do.

... I am not sure she is this smart and will still try and go for Reform-lite, despite there being a big gap in the market for moderate Conservatism which has been ignored for years.

None of the above, on a ballot paper isn’t an option. All of them seem to be attractive until they get the job. Then they realise that governing a failing country is not as easy as standing on the sidelines throwing mud. Glad I’m old so I don’t have long to put up with all these failures, but my children and grandchildren do.
I'm gonna start a party called "Spoiled vote." Guaranteed majority.
