So Trump backs his patriots of ICE literally executing his own citizens, but thinks the allies that died and got wounded in Afghanistan were cowardly and took a back seat.

A great way to win back the Labour vote which has drifted to Reform too. Farage has been noticeably quiet regarding his hero Trump lately.
Actually he hasn't. He has been vocally criticising him with all the media rushing to him hoping to get him to side with Trump and going away disappointed. Maybe you're not seeing this on the platforms you get your news? On Greenland and on this NATO thing he has criticised Trump.

Alot of this has been challenged by the Left of the party.
Who aren't "the government" IOAG said "this government." Backbenchers in the same party disagreeing with it should (but isn;t) making a dent on the actual government trotting out whatever their fav quangos say should happen.

He’s going for PM then, Starmer could be under threat here.
Starmer is already a gonner. If his clique blocks this he will face civil war anyway. If he allows it he bolsters Burnham's credibility further. If Burnham wins he will already look more powerful than the PM. Streeting is already supposedly doing the rounds getting backers. That means Streeting knows there will be a leadership election in the near future and he will put his name on the card for that.

Its a bit risky though! If Burnham does get the nod for running in this constituency and loses! whether to Green or by Green diluting the vote or whatever.........(which I don't expect to happen. I think Burnham will probably walk it where any other name from Labour would likely lose what was/is a safe seat) then Labour itself will be in absolute freefall!

Have to admire Burnham's transformation from Blairite to somehow being a soft left hero. Labour version of Jenrick fakery but then that's politics for ya.

Honestly, why not? Can't **** things up as badly as these clowns.
Honesty? From Reform or the Tories I think not. Policies? Nothing from either that would suggest an improvement far from it. Tories broke Britain, reform a complete ****up in local government and parliment. Bunch of incompetent grifters both. Unpopular as they are Labour have done more than they're given credit in the overwhelmingly Tory or Reform UK press and antisocial media sites that don’t want any stories to surface that might do credit to the current government.

But everyone has different perspectives. I ****ing detest Labour - I don't agree with the vast majority of their policies. Add in the fact that I find Starmer pathetically weak and I just want them out.

None of the above, on a ballot paper isn’t an option. All of them seem to be attractive until they get the job. Then they realise that governing a failing country is not as easy as standing on the sidelines throwing mud. Glad I’m old so I don’t have long to put up with all these failures, but my children and grandchildren do.

To be replaced by what? The even more loathsome tories lurching to the right or the abomenible Farage PLC crew, possibly in coalition? Not for me and hopefully the majority of voters when the time comes. As stated in previous posts I'm no fan of Starmer and think blocking Andy Burnham is a huge mistake.

Personally, I want a hung parliament and I suspect that will happen. I certainly don't want a Reform majority like Labour now have and the Tories previously had. Every time a party has a huge majority, they get all complacent and make a dogs dinner of running the country.

All this nonsense about U Turns is ludicrous, if you are going in the wrong direction or in to a Cul De Sac, it makes sense to take a different route to solve a problem. Remember "the ladies not for turning"? That led to her downfall. This Labour Government is far from perfect and is taking too long to fulfil their promises, but you have to accept, that there are so many ways to address the problems left by 14 years of misrule. You can't even get a concensus within each individual party, and political and nimby interference slows everything down.
In my opinion Reform is not the answer and would fragment, if they ever got elected, and we would be in an even worse mess.

I hope this is some kind of sick joke. Look at the utter mess Reform are making in the councils they control. It seems that people need services, and that money for those services has to be raised by taxation.
As for Farage, do you seriously want a PM who is simultaneously up Putin’s arse and Trump’s?
For the record, I detest Starmer too, but he is actually doing a solid job in some areas, if you drill down past the Daily Mail headlines. And never forget the way the Tories broke this country over 14 years.
