It is disappointing that the misfortunes of the UK economy rarely mentions the cost of Brexit. Why isnt Reeves pointing the finger at Farage as well as the Tories ?

Do you live under a rock? Reeves and Labour have pushed the "Brexit" angle for the last month non stop! Do you actually watch any news or read any?

How can I be sexist, some of my best friends are bitches?
I thought the Rachel from Accounts moniker was pretty well known. Similar to Boris the ****.

The press conference proved a waste of time anyway, just repeating previous messages and a bit of opposition bashing.
From a lot of the rumours coming out around tax increases, it sounds like the HMRC have been let off the leash. Motability reduction and tax on asset sales for ex-pats make sense.
As ever it’s balancing a short term tax win with long term growth

It isn't sexist. Thats just an oft repeated BS thing that is on TV all the time. It could be Bob from accounts, Dave from accounts or whatever. Its just a swipe at claiming she was some top economist at all these big banks only for it to turn out she was something to do with customer services. Rachel from Customer services doesn't have the ring that accounts does.

The whole "misogynist" angle is ridiculous. If the next chancellor, or other high office, claims something similar that turns out to be fake, you can bet your bottom dollar they will get a nickname. Country's gone mad looking for isms in anything these days.

People seem to forget these nuggets despite them being very recent:
Spreadsheet Phil, Liz the Lettuce, Gideon, 2 Jags, Maybot, Pob, Dishy Rishi, Leaky Sue, Kami Kwasi, Keith, Mad Nads, Magic Grandpa, Doris Karloff.

Brexit qas mentioned yesterday as a factor and it has been mentioned in the past , but they are doing nothing about rejoining. It is just tacit recognition of the issue. Labour criticise Farage for his attitude to race. Every economic press conference should be prefaced with a comment about what %age growth would hsve been without Brexit or how lower tax could have been.

Lsbour rightly criticise the Cinservatves for the mess they have unherited but Farage was the architect behind the Brexit campaign. He was also the only supporter of Liz Truss's budget. That never gets picked up.

Trying not to be pedantic, but have you got an issue with your keypad? Or just not proof reading before posting?

Another imprisoned migrant mistakenly released. <doh>

****ing idiots.

"The accidental release of jailed migrant sex offender Hadush Kebatu dominated the debate between Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy and his PMQs opponent, shadow defence secretary James Cartlidge.

Kebatu was mistakenly released from prison on 24 October. He was serving a sentence for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman while living in an asylum hotel inEpping, Essex.

Kebatu was re-arrested on 26 October in the London suburb of Finsbury Park. The government apologised over his erroneous release and pledged to reinforce the prison system to ensure it wasn't repeated, with an investigation also under way".

Luckily didn't get very far. Could it be possible to use traceable Microchips on certain miscreants, or is that too Big Brotherish?

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 13:00hrs on Tuesday, 4 November, the Met was informed by the Prison Service that a prisoner had been released in error from HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday, 29 October.

"The prisoner is a 24-year-old Algerian man.

"Officers are carrying out urgent enquiries in an effort to locate him and return him to custody."

Lesson not learned

Didn't realise that 262 prisoners were mistakenly released between March 24 - March 25, probably fits that a couple of them would be asylum seekers.

Interesting that rather than make the Government aware when it came to their attention the press appear to have kept it secret and handed it to the Conservative Party for a PMQs gotcha instead, how are we meant to function as a society when everything just becomes part of a game?

Doesnt look like the HMP Wandsworth informed the Police until a week after the release and someone neglected to tell the Justice Department too.

Prisons are an utter ****show and will take years to fix. We were on the verge of running out of capacity altogether last year.

I don't think it was the press sitting on it (although I could be wrong) and it was more that the prison service did not tell the police until 6 days after and that is how it emerged later than the date of it happening.

The "They held on to it until PMQs for a gotcha" bit kind of falls apart when it is reported by multiple sources that Lammy was advised about this yesterday and its likely the TG source for today's article came from that same place. (leaks 99% of the time come from within.)

Its hardly a gotcha releasing it to the Tories just before PMQs when Lammy was advised of it yesterday.........and he knew about this "secret" first. lol

Typing on phone and no checker. Makes it difficult.
Maybe you are watching your own party's speeches on snippets on a phone then and not the actual speeches where for a month Brexit has dominated their attack, mainly to cover for their upcoming budget, but every "spokesperson" that gets airtime has attacked Brexit as their No1 angle for the last month...........yet you haven't noticed. lol.

Has anyone else read reports of Israel using Thermobaric bombs on Gaza to try and destroy the Hamas Tunnel network ?

I hope it’s not true ( read it on FB ) so it probably is rubbish .

Not getting into the sides involved , but I wish those disgusting things were banned .

No idea how you would enforce that though .

Respect to the protesters at Villa Park last night who turned up to express their distaste against Maccabi Haifa being allowed in this competition. Good to see that some people still have some morals. Very pleasing to see the size of this protest. Fair play to the organisers.

I think Villa were out of step with the community they are supposed to represent.

Maccabi Tel Aviv Ian.
I think the protests were more to do with the Israeli assault on Gaza than the team being allowed to compete. The settler violence in the West Bank shouldn't be overlooked either.

I agree with no Israeli participation in sport and not allowing Israeli artists to perform in UK.
