Fair comment, she denied her own right to secure justice by commiting suicide and thus prevented any chance of finding the truth. Andrew is a victim of the circumstances too, doesn't seem to be any doubt that he was guilty of many bad things, especially his choice of friends. Easy to be judgemental when you are mostly only getting one side of the argument. As I said, he should be made to face the music, if he has done wrong, but the Press are making sure he wouldn't get a fair trial, guilty or not. One thought that I had, was that he served in the Falklands War and he said at the time that it had changed him, it could have had a bad effect on his mental awareness, not an excuse perhaps, but may be a reason?

As mentioned, that was unlikely when the primary witness has denied justice by committing suicide/mysteriously died in custody, thus helping prevent any chance of finding the truth. It's likely this had a profoundly negative effect on Giuffre.

As for the war, I'm sure it changed many people, it's a natural response. Remaining friends with benefits with *****philes isn't.

I'm not being judgemental, I just have no sympathy.

Good points, The sympathty must go to the real victims of the whole debacle. Justice should be afforded to all of those responsible, but there is not a lot of evidence of that?

Sounds like a terror attack in Cambridgeshire. Mass stabbing on a train with 9 people hospitalised with life threatening injuries :(

Two arrested.

British Transport Police said a major incident was declared, and at one point declared “Plato”, the national code word used by police and emergency services when responding to a “marauding terror attack”, before the latter declaration was subsequently rescinded.

Seems likely it is, especially given two people are involved. Counter terrorism police are involved.

Horrific - these attacks always highlight how vulnerable we all are if anyone decides to commit evil.

Im sure more details will emerge, but on the face of it, not very much that can be done to prevent this type of thing from happening if you wish to live in a relatively free country

It's awful mate isn't it. So much hate all over society now and I can only see it getting worse.

Really hope the victims last night pull through.

Only 2 remaining in critical condition which is good news. Hopefully they can pull through too.

Two arrested are British born. Not currently being treated as terrorist incident.

Wishing all those injured in the attack a complete and speedy recovery.

Train stabbing, full update, from Superintendent Lovelace:

"Within 8 minutes of the 999 call being made two men were brought into police custody"

"A 32 year old male, a black British national, and a 35 year old man, a British national of Caribbean descent, who were both arrested on suspicion of attempted murder"

"Both were born in the UK"

"10 people were taken to hospital by ambulance, another person self presented later that evening"

"While 9 were initially believed to have life threatening injuries, following assessment and treatment, 4 discharged"

"However 2 remain in a life threatening condition"

"There is nothing to suggest that this is a terrorist incident"

"At this early stage, it is not appropriate to speculate on the cause of this incident"

Better to wait than draw hasty misleading conclusions, nothing odd about that.

I'm fine with it tbh. I thought it did sound like one as there were two people involved, very unusual for two people together to go on a rampage like that without any ideological/political cause.

Main thing anyway is that hopefully the other 2 recover and there are no fatalities which would be a minor miracle.

It's not just the physical injuries to be recovered from for all involved on the train.
