No, none of those. He was banned for "lowering the level of debate", not a specific issue just the mob didn't like what he was saying. Lowering the level of debate, on this thread? Joke.
The mob had already tried to organise a boycott, when that failed they took it in turns to bait him into saying something that would get him banned. That failed too, so they banned him anyway. School boy behaviour.
The abuse was a two way thing. Plenty was regularly sent his way but none of it resulted in a permanent ban.
The truth is, dissenting voices aren't welcome. Those voices are usually met with a pile-on because some can't cope to views different to their own and the method of dealing with that these days is to silence the dissidents.
We have a poster who spouts disgusting comments. His extreme views, although not shared openly by the rest are largely in line with left thinking. He has been able to suggest that all Jews are viable targets wherever they are living. He hasn't stopped there and has added more disgusting comments since. He is still allowed to post on here. Why?
His suggestion came to fruition last week and his weak condemnation of the murders included, as you would expect, a nod at justification. And that is lowering the level of debate.
