I am pro Israeli, pro Arab, pro white, pro brown, pro human being. I am against Hamas and Netanyahu and all those profiting from human misery. It is no coincidence that governments that sit on the right account for so much of the world’s evils, as nationalistic ideas legitimise the value of some at the expense of the other.
Well put, sums up the views of many here and elsewhere.

Attacking Iran will be a bigger disaster than the Iraq invasion. I cannot see it being anything beyond an isolated Israeli air raid. If it escalates beyond that , i cannot see it ending well for the US or Israel.

If America is tied up assisting the Israeli's , i can see China emboldened to invade Taiwan. America cannot fight in two fronts.

Quite interesting to read that Trump is also reconsidering the AUKUS agreement. I was not sure if it was a good idea in the first place but i question America's motives.

If anyone is interested in what is happening between Ukraine and Russia, then I would recommend listening to this guy.
He’s very knowledgeable and presents everything very calmly, and he must be a closet fan of Nigel Adkins as he quotes Sun Tzu.:emoticon-0105-wink:

This video, from a different source, talks about the disarray in the Russian troops with troop commanders being killed and soldiers deserting.

Tejon

I think that Russia will implode in the next 12 months. Just feel Putin's exit will come unexpectedly. The press is reporting thst tge Russian economy is close to collapse.

Unsurprising really given Iran have been attacking Israel for years via their proxies. Honestly I know people will kick off about this and try and conflate it with Gaza but I don't think you can actually blame them too much.

And there was me thinking just the other day I could rearrange my Jordan trip for this autumn.

I'm not saying people should have sympathy and neither do I but this isn't exactly a surprise and it's not something which should be conflated with the Palestine situation imo.

The world would be a safer place without BN. It is interesting that the US had no involvement and that Israel has also warned another unnamed Arab state. I do not think Iran can retaliate meaningfully to damage in Israel. Just think the response will be something like the proppsed attack on the Israel embassy that was thwarted last month. 7mfortunwtely , this will have repurcussions for otger countries.

I think we are at tge point where the Israeli embassy needs to be closed and staff expelled.

I'm starting to think the powers that be just get off on endless human suffering. Good point about war keeping BN from being put on trial.

“Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

That was in my head, so I googled it. Turns out it’s a quote from The Dark Knight

Anyway, seems those men are the ones in charge in many places.

A lot of it comes down to power and wanting to retain it. Netanyahu is barely clinging on to it and has the added element of facing corruption charges I think?
