God you people are so boring.

You can’t stand to see anyone being successful can you?

Liberal politics is just the politics of envy and bitterness.

It's a basic factual point. He was not with Tesla when it was founded and named.

The Greek coastguard has caused the deaths of dozens of migrants in the Mediterranean over a three-year period, witnesses say, including nine who were deliberately thrown into the water.

[...]
He and two others - another from Cameroon and a man from Ivory Coast - were transferred to a Greek coastguard boat, he said, where events took a terrifying turn.

“They started with the [other] Cameroonian. They threw him in the water. The Ivorian man said: ‘Save me, I don’t want to die'… and then eventually only his hand was above water, and his body was below.

"Slowly his hand slipped under, and the water engulfed him."

Our interviewee says his abductors beat him.

"Punches were raining down on my head. It was like they were punching an animal." And then he says they pushed him, too, into the water - without a life jacket. He was able to swim to shore, but the bodies of the other two - Sidy Keita and Didier Martial Kouamou Nana - were recovered on the Turkish coastline.

[...]
He said the coastguard had tied his hands behind his back, before dropping him into the water.

"They threw me zip-tied in the middle of the sea. They wanted me to die," he said.

He said he managed to survive by floating on his back, before one of his hands broke free from the ligature. But the sea was choppy, and three in his group died. Our interviewee made it to land where he was eventually spotted by the Turkish coastguard.

Just straight-up murder.

GPs are to vote on taking industrial action, by working to rule, as a result of the 1.9% increase in funding they were offered. The offer was rejected by 99% of those that participated in a referendum.
Currently GPs are averaging seeing 37 patients per day but the suggested safe working practice is to see just 25 per day.
So, anyone who is having trouble getting an appointment now will have more difficulty getting an appointment if this goes ahead.
GPs could also stop doing things that they are not contracted to do, with the examples given including Fit Notes (I thought that was their job?), Prescriptions (?) and investigations that would normally take place in a hospital.
With the junior doctors due to strike again soon, this is a massive job for Labour to sort out in the first week or two of getting into power.
And it should act as a reminder that a vote for the Conservatives and Reform will always be a vote to destroy the NHS.

I’m pretty sure that the scaremongering by the Tories, about Labour Tax Rises has been categorically debunked by the experts, yet I have just seen a party political broadcast, on behalf of the Tories, showing a banner throughout the broadcast, proclaiming Labour Tax Rises.
WTAF. How does this blatant lie get past the lawyers of the media companies showing the lie?

Can someone post a link on here that I’m sure they have before on who to vote for, if voting tactically?

I’m in Bournemouth West and was going to vote Labour to get Connor Burns out, but just had an interesting chat with the Lib Dem candidate who naturally thinks the Lib Dems are the better bet, but I am not so sure.

I think its vote Tory get Labour. Farage has been quite helpful with this info ;)

There's an interesting article on the BBC website (www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c722gl8rzdro) about the way that parties, mostly the Lib Dems, use old statistics, and dodgy graphics to persuade potential voters to vote for them, or at least not to vote for the other parties

Interesting reading. That is exactly what the Lib Dem leaflet did. Voting for them will only help the Tories in Bmth West as it takes away a Labour vote

There are a number of tactical voting calculators if you do a search. I used three which all came up with Lib Dems in what is now Henley and Thame

Using the links above Labour, who came second last time round, are the tactical choice to oust the Tories in Bournemouth west. I would take issue with the Lib Dems for publishing misleading information.

Here's an article that questions whether "everything in Canada is just rosy" as has been posted on here but more importantly why the criticism of the transgender ideology is not the same as how gay people were treated, which has also been (lazily) posted on here.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2024/06/17/why-is-support-for-lgbt-rights-on-the-wane-in-canada/

I can tell you why the transgender issue isnt being treated the same as the gay issue, its because someone being gay, doesnt really affect anyone else.

If a blokes gay and his partner is gay and they want to be together, then do you, my guy.

The problem with the transgender thing is that they are DEMANDING that everyone else participate in peoples delusions that they are of the opposite sex.

If you, as a guy, want to wear a dress and call yourself Wendy, then again, do you. But if you want access to girls toilets and locker rooms, demand, under threat of arrest, that people call you the pronoun you have designated yourself, and want to participate in womens sports against biological women, then that becomes an issue, because you are infringing on the rights of others. It's simple really.

I am getting swamped with election crap in the post. All from the Lib Dems, all saying the same thing - you must vote Lib Dem to get the Tories out. I am not a ****ing goldfish. They have just lost my vote. I do not need 2 different letters on the same day, on top of getting the same stuff just last week. I was leaning towards voting Lib Dem on 4th July. Now they can go **** themselves.
