Ok - he resigned . He still remains a Lord though, doesn’t he? And where’s the investigation into the mishandling of this? If I’d have done even 1/1000th of that in my job as finance director, I’d have been enjoying the benefits of a U.K. prison.
So …. Instead of “writing off lost loans” there should be a detailed fraud investigation into this, starting from ministerial level (who signed off which loans to whom) by a major audit firm. That’s what would have happened to me ….. I wouldn’t have had a boss who said “they’re too difficult to find, we’ll write them off” ….
This isn’t THEIR ****ing money to play with . It’s OURS!! it’s very easy to write off money which isn’t yours - I bet if someone in his missus’ business had lost just a few million, he’d be sending the boys after them.

Couldn't agree more there should be an investigation. Rishi Rich says the government is taking action. We'll see what comes of it I'm not holding my breath.

Not sure . Isn’t this just a case of everyone taking the fall for him? Granted I know at least one resigned due to the Saville lie but I always expected loads of number 10 staff to go and Boris to cling on for longer
Me too. I remain suspicious this is just them clearing house of all the people they're going to blame for the party culture in No 10.
