I hope you appreciate I am only playing at devils advocate - but if I was born as a man then say I identify myself as a women, then someone says you can only be a woman if you are born with a cervix you will then accuse them of being transphobic.
I also think other parties would struggle in the same way to answer the question, it is only highlighted on the Labour Party as they have been mostly in the forefront of promoting equal rights.
I think it is complex. Like most things that involve people's emotions. Personally I prefer the scientific definitions of male and female, but I won't force this opinion onto others.

it isn’t complex.

Only women can give birth. To say anything else is pure stupidity. (Obviously I support trans people’s rights to make their own choices. But we can’t ignore reality)

Labour saying this nonsense is only making the party even more unelectable than ever. We need a new opposition party in my opinion, labour are completely detached from reality now. It’s so easy for the tories. All they have to do is point at this sort of stuff and say “they want to raise taxes, and give all your money to nonsense causes” and everyone will vote conservative.

Don't disagree mate.

The cause is extremely valid but they're going about it the wrong way and it's not going to get more people to support them, quite the opposite.
Got you talking about it though.

Don’t disagree that their tactics are questionable, but on the other hand the problem is a very real one and needs to be addressed urgently.

Not really. As far as I can see most people are taking about their actions rather than their cause.

Ultimately if this is gonna get anywhere then they need to get people onside not push them away. To easy for them to be dismissed as a vocal minority otherwise.

I can understand their frustration, but yes it is the wrong way to go about it.
Climate change is already impacting on the planet and people’s lives and despite all the “political hot air” about change, the changes are not happening quickly enough.
In a few weeks the Prime Minister will be chairing the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow.
It’s difficult to expect positive change under someone who has two private homes, one in London and the other in Thame Oxfordshire, that have energy efficiency ratings of F and E.
G is the worst rating possible.

Only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt or worse here imo. Will only take one nutter to start ploughing into people.
Enough is enough now. Like you say someone is going to end up badly hurt or dead. The scumbags also refused to let an ambulance past. Need to start handing down lengthy prison sentences for people who carry on on with this.
