Piece in the FT today about Brexit. The Tories had better be careful calling Starmer Captain Hindsight. It seems that he was the one who had the foresight to see what a disaster was about to unfold and hit us like a financial tsunami right at the height of Covid. Foot, aim, fire !

Johnson and his fellow Tories love playground politics and name calling. The playground is just where that lot belong.

The fight back to the Russia report has already started. The Sunday Express has the headline " Don't Smear Brexit". - An acknowledgement of what is to come? Aaron Banks seems to be getting windy, demanding to know if he is going to get a mention - You bet you are Aaron!

In a separate Express article they say the British businesses are less prepared for a no deal Brexit than ever after Covid has worsened their financial position severely. Last week they were crowing in their headlines that " Boris has faced down the EU and is on the brink of a victory" . Now they are describing his strategy as " High risk"!

Does anyone read The Express? Aren’t they just a Pound Shop Daily Mail for people who can’t read without their lips moving?

A suggestion here that there should be a public information campaign to educate the public AND the government on the merit of wearing face masks.

"Educate" this government? But they went to the BEST schools and had the BEST education, so they're perfectly capable of keeping the little man in his place and generally ****ing up the future for anyone without a fortune in some off-shore tax haven and a separate non-UK passport .....................

I can’t find a link, but I was reading that Scummings wants to closedown an Army Air Corp Training Centre, at Middle Wallop, their HQ.
This is in the Romsey constituency, so maybe another email to your MP, might be in order.
I can’t believe that an adviser to the PM is being allowed to visit and meddle in the forces, in such a way. Perhaps it was part of his remit after spending those years in Russia. <whistle><whistle>

Link just came up on Facebook.

Letter being drafted as we “speak”. The trouble with Caroline Nokes (in fact any Tory MP) is that they’re so **** scared of Cummings and the Tory whips that they’ll just sit back and do nothing. I’ve already told her that in my opinion she’ll be tainted by association with this “bunch of thieving incompetents” (my words) and she responded by thanking me for my “interesting views” ...... :emoticon-0114-dull:
I know she’s not a fan of Demonic but she says it’s “purely the remit of the PM on how to deal with him” ..... :emoticon-0112-wonde

Not at all sure this China fight is a great idea. I can see it accruing no real benefit for Hong Kong residents and huge disbenefits for the rest of us.

You think we should turn a blind eye to blatant human rights abuses, in order to protect Chinese investment in the U.K.?

Not sure that investment has even been enormously beneficial. It doesn’t seem to have helped Saints’ economy much.

Not just investment. We really are too small to have any significant effect on a country the size of China. They will do what they want. Surprised that we are not so concerned t about blatant human rights abuses in the Arab world the UAE does as they want and we sell them weapons. We should also be boycotting next year 's World Cup because of the treatment of workers as well as the corruption in the awarding process. Let's have some consistency here, not just jumping because Trump says so.

The couple in St Louis who totally were just defending their freedoms against the big scary protesters have, unsurprisingly, been charged with felony unlawful use of a firearm (aka brandishing), because there is zero evidence that the protesters did anything to them beyond walk through an open gate.

On the bright side, the lunatic governor of Missouri (who recently stated that all kids going back to school will get COVID, but that it's basically fine) has indicated that he'll pardon them if convicted, because that's how justice works now.

This isn't America's finest hour.
