Comfortable victory for Sir Keir which is quite surprising. Good luck to him in bringing the party together and making Labour appear like a Government in-waiting, as in the mid 90s.
 
How can someone so unconvincing as Matt Hancock reach high office ? He`s a mumbling gimp. I think Labour have picked the best option in Starmer - I think he will bring credibility to the position.

The mumbling gimp society are complaining in the strongest terms at being compared to Hatt Mancock. I believe he's related to this person and will contact the Private Eye for confirmation. I give you Richard Head.

Matt Hancock looks eerily like Kevin Spacey in that photo.

I am disappointed by Sir Keir Starmer's appointment as new Labour leader. I had voted for Long- Bailey and Burgeon as they would have continued the reforms implemented by Jeremey Corbyn. However, I think RLB's campaign was luck lustre and thought that she would ultimately struggle as she did not come out of the traps too well to begin with.

It is quite staggering just how much of a nose-dive Corbyn's fortunes took. I think he is a genuine, conviction politician and may have been at fault to spending too much time talking to people who shared his values as opposed to getting them across to people who didn't, His reign as Labour Leader was a bit like a football match where the first half saw him intimidate the opposition yet , after the interval of the general election with Theresa May, he pressed but forgot to take the Brexit ball with him. To honest, we was severely stuffed by the newspapers and, perhaps more tellingly, by the likes of Laura Kuenssberg who effectively carried out a vindictive hatchet job on him throughout his tenure. I was really disappointed by the anti-Semitism publicity as it seemed to be something that largely only concerned the media,

I will be interesting to see how he is perceived by history. I have a strong feeling that his reputation will ultimately proved to be enhanced and that the destruction of the NHS by the Conservatives through austerity will see him proved right. Ultimately, you wonder how the epidemic will ultimately manifest itself insofar as you can see the US's economy tank so much that remaining in the EU will seem pragmatic. I think Corbyn performed well with the exception of Brexit where his familiar to recognise that reform of the EU should have bee pursued within as opposed to making a clean break.

Last year, Brexit seemed like a defining moment in British history with all it's ramifications. It almost seems an irrelevance now and I am not convinced that this current government will survive a further enquiry into Coronavirus to be around to implement it. With Starmer at the helm, Labour will lurch once more to the Right and I don't think the possibility of him becoming PM and ruling out Brexit in 2021 is now that unlikely.

Starmer was my choice, he's electable and those in the Labour party that don't get behind that will harm chances of a reversal at the ballot box.
The election that saw Johnson win his huge majority shouldn't have happened. Labour, Lib Dems and SNP mugged themselves and the electorate
The brexit issue has disappeared from view apart from an early assertion that an extension wouldn't be requested so far as I know. I have no trust in those responsible for brexit negotiations or the CV battle.
