I may be one of very few people who are quite relaxed about this. If you want your MPs to be honest, pay them a decent salary.

I'm relaxed about the salary but who else gets a 3.1% rise these days? And don't they vote for it themselves?

Yet another allegation about Patel. This time that she threw a folder in the face of a civil servant. She can't last much longer surely?

Me :)

Private sector, just been given a 3% pay rise form April 2020....weirdly though, I have just accepted voluntary redundancy and my redundancy pay is based on my salary in April :)

To be fair they know that and I think that is one of the reasons they are doing it :)

Maybe I'm out of touch with pay levels these days, is that a common amount?

Good for you No7, retirement at 50. What are you going to do with yourself?

Not quite retirement...pocketing the money and hopefully sorted within 2-3 months. Atlanta may beckon soon :)
That was home for the Stax récord label, but I will look it up. Didn't Martin Luther King have a connection with this City, and in same city God set a 400m récord in that summer's Olympics, until it was blown to bits in Rio four years ago.

MLK was from the Atlanta area - I have visited his home and the church where he preached. I'm an atheist, but very, very moving place. MLK is probably one of the humans I admire the most ever.

Apparently, two thirds of Tory party members believe that Sharia law exists in the UK.
Unfortunately the video, about the 300 islamaphobia complaints against the Tory party, I tried to attach won’t stick.
