This good enough for you, pertinent quote from the Metro article.
"The journalist who broke the story of a four-year-old boy lying on a hospital bed has hit out at claims the image was faked. Daniel Sheridan was sent the picture of Jack Williment-Barr by his mother Sarah, 36, and wrote about it for the Yorkshire Evening Post. The story, with the shocking image from Leeds General Infirmary, spread quickly and caused embarrassment for Boris Johnson yesterday. But soon, there were several unfounded claims that it was faked, written in a similar vein and quoting ‘a good friend of mine’ who is a senior nurse at the hospital. Reporter Daniel responded, detailing the amount of investigation that took place and how he fact-checked his piece."
"The hospital also confirmed they were experiencing their busiest day since April 2016. Sarah had no issue with the treatment Jack was given by the doctors or nurses. ‘She told me the NHS was in crisis and it was my duty to report this fully and accurately."

I'm not defending anyone but you seemed determined to make out that I am such an ogre because I refuse to agree with you??? You are more blinkered than I thought.!!!!!!! I don't agree with you.........Just as I don't know for sure it wasn't staged...just as you don't. Just because you think otherwise doesn't make it so!!!!!!! You think Im going to go away because I dare to disagree. Then you do not know me very well!!!! I try to keep an open mind I do listen and question I don't think My decisions are the only decisions that should count I don't care whether you agree or disagree or anyone for that matter.
I repeat if that department in the hospital allowed that to happen it should be closed down immediately. Staff retrained and put elsewhere. There is no excuse.......but again I don't think that need happen because it was staged.
Add that to your pipe and smoke it chilcs!!
Edit..........For the record I hate the tories too......I don't defend them at all
If the cap fits...hey who are you calling a tory.............Thats a banning offence..........![]()

Edit: See RJ's post re his actual experience of A&E. Are you going to claim that's a fake? You truly don't believe they would do anything different than deny it was faked....do you? It was set to embarrass Johnson.................It won't because it is too far fetched. Ask any true nurse and she will tell you the last place they would have placed the boy was on the floor.......................
Read the story Beddy, that isn’t what happened and you know it. As RJ says, it happens all the time. Why would someone bother staging something when a quick wander around any A&E department will show dozens of similar things. Ever tried getting a four year old to sleep on a hospital chair? The mother laid him on a pile of coats to make him more comfortable. The disgrace is purely with the Tories for cutting NHS funding beyond bare bones to the point that structural parts are being lost from the skeleton. You truly don't believe they would do anything different than deny it was faked....do you? @Beddytare
You say they should sack people. What else exactly could the staff have done in that situation?
Magic a bed out of thin air? Turn another patients life support off?
If there's no beds then there are no beds...
If you believe it fine......Sorry I don't
My girl is 16, so equally difficult too try and get her sleeping on a chair. She gets seizures occasionally, and was transported into Salisbury by ambulance, put onto a trolley in A&E and within 20 minutes we were asked to find somewhere to lie her down because the trolley was needed due to an acute case from an RTA coming in. The staff were without exception, brilliant, professional and exhausted and if there'd been a bed available, my daughter would have been on it. We got her home after 5 hours, having seen a junior doctor on the tail end of a 14 hour shift.Read the story Beddy, that isn’t what happened and you know it. As RJ says, it happens all the time. Why not just answer the question mate?
I've no dog in this election fight so I'm not trying to score points, just genuinely interested as to what you think staff should have done if there were no beds.
There are numerous other things from trollies bed mats perhaps on a cupboard even chairs or even back in an ambulance. Im telling you they would not have put the lad on the floor while he was having treatment. It just wouldn't happen............

My last word on this. You really don't accept this can happen under any circumstances so be it. RJ's post about his situation is plain enough and gives the lie to your assertions. Patient's carers have been left to make their child/spouse/family member/parent as comfertable as possible the hospital staff being to busy with oother acute cases. There are numerous other things from trollies bed mats perhaps on a cupboard even chairs. I don't think they put him on the floor mate, I think his mother did as the option was that or chair. Now I wouldn't make that choice personally but I'm failing to see what difference that makes to the point of lack of beds and why staff should lose their jobs.
As it was their busiest week in years do you not think it's feasible that they were out of trolleys at all?
Really not sure why this is so hard to believe, it probably happens all the time.
