Unfortunately Trump will finish his first term. No way he gets impeached because his party controls the senate. Can’t see enough of them going against him to get through the senate. His party and the ones that vote republican still think he is making America great again. :emoticon-0138-think

Yep this ^^ and unfortunately, I think that if his health is ok he will get a second term. In spite of himself I think a lot of the US think he is doing good for the US.

(I don't agree FWIW)

I think you are correct. Because the Democrats are so incensed they will end up choosing someone unelectable to most of the voters. He will squeak by again just like last time. I don’t even want to imagine what 2024 looks like with him in office.

Nicola sturgeon on question time, I fear for some on this site. Meds and tissues to hand. She does speak well.
I thought Jezza did very well. I just wonder why he was on first though. Bozo will have a free hand to try and rubbish everything everyone else says.

And I agree, Nicola is a very compelling speaker, and I can see Scotland going almost completely to the SNP. They will most probably hold the balance of power after the election, and they will definitely not be helping the Spaffer. Corbyn will almost certainly have to promise Indyref2 next year to get into no.10. I actually think Labour’s stance on a second Scottish referendum has been deliberately vague, in order to allow a shift as part of a Confidence and Supply agreement with the SNP.

I’d have them as a coalition tomorrow and Progressive policies would take some of the wind out of the Nationalist sails. Major reason Some Scots want independence is **** Tory governments

BBC QT much more grown up than ITV Slugfest

Jo Swinson has 2 tough acts to follow

BoJo is a clown and will turn this into CBBC when he comes on

Whatever the rights and wrongs of their territorial claim, Russia was never going to accept losing control of the Crimea. They fought the Ottomans, the Turks, the French and the British for control of that peninsula; Sevastapol is their only western deep water port that doesn't freeze up in winter. It's population has always been predominantly Russian, and it was only in the hands of the newly independent Ukraine because of an administrative decision taken during the Soviet era.

Understand that and you get a different perspective on what you call annexation and occupation. Russia's old Tsarist empire is breaking up, her European power and influence are declining. From a Moscovite perspective, the Eastern European threat is not from Russia, it's to her.

But similar can be said about the provinces of Karelia in Finland, of parts of all three Baltic states, of the whole of Belarus, of most of Ukraine...hell, half of Poland has been controlled by Russia as often as not dating back to the collapse of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. If you set as acceptable "it was once ours, and we're going to take it by force", you're setting yourself up for all manner of problems.

It wouldn't anyone any harm to subscribe to the YT channel with Prof Dougan.
Agreed. I posted one of his on here a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve enjoyed the others of his you have put up over the years. Absolutely first class in terms of clarity and scope, and complete absence of bullshit.

Can you trust a PM who can't hold more than one question in his head at a time? He was the only one who needed to write down the questions and even then he didn't answer them.

He was applauded off by a small section of the audience but as they say you can fool some of the people all of the time.

A Tory Brexiteer calling radio 5 tonight referred to Jeremy Corbyn as Granddad Corbyn in an insulting way.

Is ageism rife in the Tory party?

As a granddad with an IQ of 125 I found this insulting in the extreme.

Watching QT now. Corbyn I thought did well, the Swinson woman had a rough ride from the audience but stood her ground and made her points. Boris is now floundering like a floundery thing.

I'm calling it now; Boris has been found out. No way is he getting a majority.

Exactly what my US son in law said a few hours ago to me....
