Huge moment: Twitter has banned political advertising on the platform. For those who have followed the Cambridge Analytica saga, we now await what Facebook will do. It could be a game changer.
Brilliant. I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt that Mr Zuckerburg will pass up a chance to make a few more millions.

The Cambridge Analytica thing was bad because it involved pulling user data in violation of Facebook’s stated policies.

I don’t care about political advertising, or even “fake news” posts and tweets from bots. It’s up to the users not to be stupid and believe everything they read.

I do care about political advertising, particularly online where even the most basic standards of honesty and respect appear to have been completely abandoned, because I don’t want the level of political discourse in the U.K. to descend to the level it has reached in the U.S.

Maybe it’s already too late. The sort of bilious nonsense being peddled by people with right wing leanings often seems to have originated on Facebook.

I had a fleeting moment when I didn't dislike the Lib Dems. It's gone and I'm well now. They simply see this election as a chance to get more fence sitters in Parliament and **** Brexit.

In Chester they have always been a poor third. Despite a big Labour majority last time, it still needs to be seen as a Tory/Labour marginal.Putting up a Lib Dem in a remaain City is a crap idea

Our delay day party later, there will be beer.
Looking for a guide for ditches to die in, plenty over here in the Netherlands.

For help deciding on who to vote for.

Utterly stuffed in Dorset West as Labour can never win but are too close to LD to ever consider withdrawing. We may actually get a majority vote for Lab LD Green combined but none of them will get near Cons individually

On the other hand a flash of hope has just occurred. We have had a UKIP presence here, so if Brexit stand it will really put cat among Pigeons. Come on Brexit o_O

I’ll be voting LD

Brexit party are humming and hawing as to whether they will only put up candidates in strong Labour Leave seats. I think that could easily backfire. Imagine the Leave vote being 60%. Not all Leavers will desert Labour so probably 50% of the vote between Leave parties. If it splits evenly between Tory and Brexit then it would be mathematically impossible ( virtually) for either to take the seat.
