I've actually got some brazil nuts in their original case that my grandfather bought in his days in the merchant navy in the 1930s. He told me in 1970, you may need these one day my boy. I thought he was joking!
Remind me of the special thing about Brazil nuts. Have to be grown wild and can't be cultivated?
They can be cultivated but the trees take decades to mature, and the only place the bees which pollinate them are is in the untouched forests. History has shown that light harvesting is the only sustainable method. By the way, most Brazil nuts come from Bolivia!
