Seriously, what do these people have for brains.
Let’s destroy the UK and it’s economy, rather than risk having a PM who wants to end inequality and give support to the poor, disabled and the work force, whilst clamping down on tax avoidance.

Eurgh. Minus the conservative party being destroyed which I don t care about either way, I don't want any of those to happen but would vote the opposite way to all of these if it was tailored to a remainer with remain in Europe or -

Though I suppose as a left winger I'm not as opposed to Corbyn as a conservative. Might be fairer to replace him with Farage. That would be far more scary with his position on hand guns which is a massive red line for me. That would be a much harder decision.

Edit, just saw Chilco's post. Double Eurgh.

Plus he wants to go to an insurance based health service. It would be laughable if he wasn't serious. The USA are seriously contemplating joining the rest of the world in setting up their own national health service. And this arsehole wants to go the other way. He obviously doesn't like people.

Anyone watching this debate? Jeez.

Boris not coming over well or knowledgeable. Which means he'll win!
Yeah. But one thing Boris has is a personality. Stewart on the other hand looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Tie off already, he looks like the weedy kid in the playground compared to the other four.

Really? Boris is by no means the worst there, but he's just warbling away and shouting over people too often, including the presenter.

I think Stewart is coming across as the only person thinking of the bigger picture, asking the right questions and recognising the need to try and unite people from different schools of thought - both within the Conservative Party and beyond - to reach a conclusion to the current mess.

Javid is also pretty decent on this showing, but is the closest to elimination. But clearly, a moderate isn't really the order of the day with the current status. Gove is obviously very smart but just can't imagine him leading anyone.

And Tom, if you pick your politicians based on whether they're wearing a tie or not, then I despair.

I don't. Just thought it was odd. I don't think he would be strong enough mentally to be PM. Stewart says he would rule out a no deal Brexit. Which means he would have to go back to the EU and ask to renegotiate Brexit. And they would laugh at him. We would be back to square one. Like it or not, Boris and Gove are right - we've to prepare for a no deal Brexit. This saga needs to end and if it means we leave without a deal - so be it. Life will go on. The UK will adapt.

Anyone get the feeling that the Tory MPs are setting Boris Johnson up for the most spectacular of falls later in the year. There are many in that party who despise him, hence my hypothesis.

Yep... he’ll finally get what he’s always wanted and it’ll be over before he knows it.

Theresa May might breathe a sigh of relief, though...

Bloody hell, they are all smarmy Tories that nobody has voted for. Telling me how much they would like to spend on services they have been cutting for 9 years. No apology, a mixture of unicorn policies and a degree of arrogance that was only surpassed by collective stupidity.

The Saga won't end just because we've left. There will still be a tonne of negotiation on things like trade deals, laws, our relationship to the EU, the Northern Ireland border, Scotland trying to get a second referendum etc etc. to do which the government will **** up. Even Farage wanted some deals. No deal is really just kicking the can down the road. Doesn't end anything and makes us worse off in the meantime.

I ****ing won’t adapt, neither will my family and friends, or indeed anyone apart from the richest 1% of this country. If you are in that group then fair enough, otherwise you ought to look a bit deeper into what will actually happen.

“So be it” ?????

It might just will “be it.” I think I could be in a spot of bother with my job if No Deal happens.

They look like 5 of the biggest freaks in the playground, all of them. One of those utter berks is going to be our next PM.

Being a blatantly dishonest bluffer doing a passable Billy Bunter impersonation, does not constitute having a “personality” imo.

No Deal would be the biggest economic disaster this country has every had. And it would be an own goal. A more spectacular own goal than the Vergini goal for us in the 8-0 Sunderland game.

Life would go on yep. But so would economic meltdown. Just my opinion though. No hard Imps like 'facts' to back it up, just a hunch.

What frustrates me is that this is so avoidable.
