You didn't get us into this mess. The mess was caused by people who called a referendum and those who lied credibly enough to convince people it was straightforward to leave and would lead to sunlit uplands rather than this hellhole.
The answer to your question? By waiting until we get another vote and voting to remain in the EU.

You are probably right Vin...........However I was convinced as was pretty well everyone that the stayers would win on the last one. This is why we're in this mess isn't it. No-one was prepared for an out vote. If that is the way we go let's just hope that which ever way it goes it is legally binding. That way perhaps we will get out of this mess once and for all, and get this country going again..........
One way the country can move forward is for the Conservatives to stop trying to be a versión of the "Brexit" party, and become a more responsible, normal, mainstream Conservative party within the EPP block of Conservatives in the EU. That should be the way forward for the future leader of the UK Conservatives to map out. And if it means p****** off the likes of Rees-Mogg so much the better.
A remarkable win for Labour in the Peterborough by-election, beating the Brexit Party by 683 votes. A cynic might think that the people of Peterborough believe Labour has a better chance of delivering Brexit than Farage’s crew. Hopefully that wasn’t the reason Labour won, but time will tell.

I never said any such thing. Lots of people can be against immigration for all sorts of reasons. It's just that Trump/Johnson/Farage followers are specfically against "immigration" for only one reason.
I don't think you understand. I'm happy to talk about this. It's YOU that is calling ME hateful and refusing to converse. Which means it is you that is going off to a safe space. Do you follow this? You're implying I will do the thing that you are already doing. This is what is called "projection" in psychology.
And this also explains the whole "immigration" thing in a nutshell. People who are bigots get extremely offended at being called out, and they turn it around on others. It's a reversal of cause and effect, and subject and object.
I am sure you often say things like "People call me a wrong/racist/bigoted just because I disagree with their views. So that makes them the bad guys." But no, it's actually "I find your views to be wrong/racist/bigoted and that's why I disagree with them. I disagree with you because you are indeed, the bad guy."
You ask why the left just talks about immigrants without distinguishing among them. I said fine, let's talk about immigrants more specifically. It took like what? two posts for it to devolve into something about Mexicans being drunks. And then the next post, I'm a hateful person who you won't talk to.
THAT'S why we just talk about "immigration." It's an attempt to keep the conversation at a minimally acceptable level. We shouldn't do it, because just enables them. But we're not heroes and we don't like making people feel bad, or making others on a message board suffer through these horrible posts.
So this is the last I'm going to say about, because you asked, and because I feel somewhat morally obligated to help you. The news you read is fake. The people who write them are liars. Your right wing bubble is the safest of all possible spaces where you not only insulate yourself from those who might disagree with you, but from objective reality itself.
