No but he is an Everton or currently Tottenham. The 2 party system is beyond majorities IMO at this point.

IF there was a GE tomorrow Brexit Party even without a manifesto is currently predicted at getting 49 seats!!! That puts them 3rd and in a kingmaker position alongside SNP!!!

That would mean it would be a fight between Tory and Labour who gets the most seats and the first go at coalition!!!!

Peterborough will be very telling. I don;t go along with the bookies making BP favourites. I think it will be a close run race between Tory, Labour and BP. much reduced figures for the former 2 because Lib Dems will take some of Labour away and each could be around the 13 -15,000 mark in what was pretty much a Tory bellweather prior to 2017.

Neither will get anywhere near the leadership! Raab is weak, Hunt has zilch personality. It will be someone who has been loyal to the PM throughout but may have leanings towards the Brexit mob. Penny Mordaunt. And of course she is that modern kind of girl as she has a partner. Shock horror that she is not married with two children. She will enter during the second or third round.

It doesn't bother me where they came from. I am all for skills. It was not "people like me" that scared them off. It was idiot May. All lead leavers in the puclic eye always stated that EU citizen rights should be ensured. Even Farage. It should never have been in question. It was a remainer (May) that decided to use that as a bargaining chip and it was other remainers that have utilised the result for their arguments. All leavers always stated that those here should be granted rights immiediately, no questions.

That does not counter my belief that we are not doing anyone a service by pinching their trained nurses, teachers, engineers whilst parading around the world about how we are such good guys though. Cameron getting rid of burseries and the centrist (Bliar thru to Cameron) ideal of letting other countries pay for training up our skills has been and will be a disaster for the world. It is just a way to keep those countries "below" us.

The narrative of the leave side "scaring" EU migrants away is a false one. They were very clear that there should be no risk to their residency or rights. Blame May for that one. What she was thinking I do not know!
 
One of May´s biggest cock-ups was her alliance with the DUP. She should have just gone with a minority Tory Government. Most of the legislation would have passed as SF do not sit, so she would have had the numbers in most instances with a bit of horsetrading to have got the necessary through such as the Budget.

You think? I think the MPs will gang up to keep Boris off the top 2. He is not liked in the PCP. ERG do not like him either. I don;t think I am far off (near exact ;) ) to the final 2. The only other option would be Javid rather than Hunt.

She should have either sat with her majority OR not tried to be a new Thatcher in one go and come up with a decades worth of "super" policies in one manifesto. That was her downfall. She blew it. All she had to do was go into 2017, say it was about Brexit, nothing else but "Hey I've come up with this idea about elderly care." Kaboom. She lost a potential landslide within a month. The writing was on the wall for her already at that point.
 
What I would like to see in the European Parliament is all MEPs take an oath of allegiance to uphold the values of the EU and its institutions. Those who refuse, should then not be allowed to take their seat in the assembly, Furthermore, until taking said oath, they should have their pay and pensions withheld until swearing allegiance. After all, SF MPs do not get their salary as they have chosen not to sit in the HoC as they do not want to swear allegiance to the monarchy. If it was only possible.

That is satire and you know it. A democracy must have voices of opposition within as well as supporters. Should the Labour party just agree with all policy voted through by the HOC if Conservatives have a majority? and vice versa? No.

You may have a point on votes etc, especially with salary but do you think if there was no salary that "anti EU" candidates would not stand? They would still. Democracy is about rights. All rights, including the rights of MPs / MEPs. If an anti EU MEP is elected then they have been elected on a basis of their opposition to the EU and thus they have been granted the right to not attend/not be paid. I do agree on that part.

Your comment does sort of play into the leave argument implying that MEPs should "swear allegiance" to the EU project!!!

On that basis, then surely, SF are entitled to a salary but because each elected MP has to swear allegiance to the Crown, and they don´t want to, they are not permitted to enter the Chamber or receive their salaries. Same should apply here - to uphold the institutions of the EU. Would Farage swear such allegiance? It would be interesting to apply it to fiind out.

Massive may well mean massive, in fact exactly the same but, at the same time, entirely different. It could of course really mean "massive" as in massive or massive. Hopefully Imps will be able to explain.

Then look at the 2 pictures of Farage young and in his adulthood. Farage does not have those lines in either picture from his mouth edge to his jaw. Varrall does.

Not saying it isn't Farage and I should think he will be questioned sufficiently on the photo in the coming days.
