Opimium who? Have a look before you post a link. Are you on the payroll? "Opinium is an online market research company based in London, England. They collect research in the form of online surveys, which they pay their users to take part in. That's right, Opinium pay their users to take short and simple online surveys".
Bit more-
Earning Potential
You are probably wondering how much money you can earn using Opinium, right?

There are a few different ways to make money using Opinium

  1. Take online surveys
    • Unlike many other survey sites, Opinium focuses on creating short, entertaining surveys (5-10 minutes) for you to complete.
    • On average, each survey you complete will earn you about 50p. You can earn a little more or a little less, depending on the length of the survey.
    • Unfortunately, you can only expect to receive around 3 surveys every month.
      • This is consistent, although. Opinium factors in the dates in which you received surveys, which helps them determine who's turn it is to answer a survey. It is nice to know that they fairly distribute their surveys. Everybody gets their chance with Opinium.

So they bought the results from people eager to earn up to £1.50 a month. What you mean is you only approve of polls that give results you agree with while accusing others of doing so without admitting your own bias.

I signed it, but as much as it pains me, Imps nearly has a point.

Let's say 20 million people are against leaving. Of those 20 million, probably only 10% will bother with an online petition, and obviously the leavers won't vote. So although it shows there is a strong feeling, it really is worthless.

I happen to agree with May - Parliament has let us down. However, I would put her in that too - the number one person to let us down as it was her job to sort out the mess.

I cannot understand anyone happy that we are leading ourselves down this point of no return and total destruction.

The hex maps for that petition mirror the referendum ones.

Come on chaps......There is no doubt your not going to agree. The reality is nobody actually knows what the heck is going on. Not sure you can rely on the media.......there is so much false news out there!! Let the so called politicians sort it. Then perhaps we can have a less heated discussion?? Cheers......BT

Or maybe I have been worn down by Mrs May's total ineptitude and incompetence. She makes Pellegrino look like a good manager.

Total destruction? It's not the apocalypse. I don't believe a no deal Brexit is as disastrous as some people are predicting. It won't be ideal but life will go on.

Is that so? Thanks for pointing that out. So far as I remember I haven't quoted a poll on this thread or any other. Verifiable sources always relevant, polls to easy to manipulate as have been the electorate.

Better for some than others. the people least able to cope will be the ones hit hardest. It was all going to be so easy, we had such a strong bargaining position all would greener on the other side. Now we have reality life will go on yeah.

You are right there probably. Not destruction. No apocalypse.

However I am 50 this year, and I feel we may get back on track by the time you are my age :)

Still, I can always run to that safe haven of my daughter's in Atlanta...oh wait...Trump.

Maybe we will colonise the Moon or Mars in my lifetime.

EDIT: Just read this back and it sounds condescending Tom - it isn't meant to be. Just me frustrated

What is it with successive Conservative Governments in that they manage to always divide the country from top to bottom. I remember troops were sent to Northern Ireland by Harold Wilson and they were welcomed by the Nationalist population. In 1970 the Tories came back and of course managed to turn the Nationalist popualtion against the army with their policies. Back in mainland blighty they managed to divide the nation with their policies that provoked a miners' stirke, blackouts and the 3-day week

In 1974 Labour came back and were tasked with healing the divisions again. Forward to 1979 and Thatcher's Tories managed to divide the nation yet again by provoking the miners' and other unions into a series of strikes. And of course the right-wing press managed to make the unions the villains of the peace. 1982 and her Government's disastrous neglect of Las Malvinas stoked a war with Argentina. How many dead war héroes were there giving their lives because of the Gvernment's ineptitide? Then there was the disastrous poll-tax which put paid to her.

Her replacement, Major was half decent despite having the destructive forces of Lawson and Lamont around. 1997 and the country was at peace with itself for over a decade thanks to New Labour. We know the script from 2010 / divide and rule, make mayhem and put the blame of everyone else except the uselessness of the Government itself.

Bedders, heated a bit but compared to other forums civilised. To much of this a left/right argument, in fact it's a cross party divide with individual views from all directions. DUCK incoming, dive dive dive. Yah missed you bastarrgh got me.

A tout.

EU official says that when leaders asked May what she was going to do if her deal was voted down, she would only reply that she was following her 'Plan A' of getting it through. It was then they decided 'she didn't have a plan so they needed to come up with one for her'.

how to negotiate TM style!

come on I've got a tenner riding on this. June 2016 I bet a mate our Government are so incompetent we'd actually leave. He's a bit in the know (like Imps) absolutely no chance he said. I still don't know who's getting the tenner!
