Ok, you're allowed to disagree. I disagree with you though, and thought it was funny.I absolutely disagree with the jokes being made today about the Conservative Unionist Negotiating Team for Brexit. It's not funny at all!
knew I should have written that in blue!Ok, you're allowed to disagree. I disagree with you though, and thought it was funny.
I thought you were joking, but quoted you anyway. Cos I'm like thatknew I should have written that in blue!
Really? I thought I saw a lot of coverage, but I didn't see this directly. In fact, I thought May tried to make it a presidential type campaign with Corbyn playing the clown and her playing the umm....cough, strong an stable one. Conversely, I thought Corbyn just went on about what he was going to do. Whether we think it could be done or not.
Is it not hard to deny that Corbyn touched on things that people care about, that's why they voted for him? She wanted to make it to be all about Brexit, but Corbyn actually made it about people. That's what I saw anyway, but I'm not a seasoned political follower.
No, Article 50 was triggered therefore Brexit will happen within 2 years. If negotiations fall flat it will be bad for everyone all round. We will still leave, but we won't have any say on the terms of Brexit.
I believe the way Article 50 was written, it can be reversed at any time.My fear is we say " We want to stay " They say " You triggered article 50 See ya "

Yup. Theresa's parting gift (I know she hasn't parted yet, but it won't be long).
It can certainly be revoked if not finished within a 2 year time period. Then the membership countries all have to agree on it anyway. If they don't, I believe we're still in.I believe the way Article 50 was written, it can be reversed at any time.

It's then that the British PM stops the game, picks up the football and says, "it's my ball and I'm going home".
Unless we ask to remain in, in which case the terms of Article 49 apply. As we have already been deemed to qualify for membership, we just need a qualified majority to be allowed to stay.Nope. The membership has to agree to any extension if we want it. If we reach 2 years we are out unless we ask for an extension and they agree to that extension. We do not by default remain in at the end of 2 years.
Haven't a clue. All I said is he is starting his charm offensive[/QUOTE]
I have no doubt that he'll succeed in being at least one.
Then you are hearing what you want to hear. I agree with you on Theresa May doing the "fear" aspect. I am saying that they all did it though and if you listen to Corbyn's speeches most of it is about how bad the Tories are. Sturgeon is the one that continually goes on about not playing the fear card but all her speeches are about is "anything but the Tories" and "keep the Tories out."
Then we have this soundbite of "putting party before the country" which is laughable because they all do that. That is what politics is. The Fringe's may be able to put country before their party but that is why they are at the fringes. All the main contenders are in the game of trying to gain seats and they put their party first to try and gain seats.
Perhaps you should give Corbyn a little more credit for running a very clever campaign aside from the suspicion you have on what he would actually carry through with if he got into power. She won't last a week at this rate.
