So, in conclusion, you've never met any left wing nut jobs, never actually been abused by anyone with left wing tendencies (because we are all good and decent folk) and after a nice walk to the Post Office you like to come home, fire up the laptop and wind up as many decent people as you can find on multiple forums, safe that unless you say something really offensive the police won't be crashing through your door. Why not join the Labour party and put your obvious talents to some use putting those things you don't like right? You won't get any thanks from the real Tories for wumming on football forums!
I've seen them haranging people down the high street and I personally have been "questioned" on my political leanings several times by SWP placard wavers in the high street to which I replied "None of your business mate" and walking off to mutterings. Like I said I keep my views to myself because these guys are out in the open and brazen and plentiful. Not like the skinhead yobs that get drunk sing songs and are rarely seen around.
I'm not trying to wind up anyone. The internet is full of people so full of their opinion on "the other side" that they believe what they hear each other saying and repeat repeat repeat. The other side are all racist, bigots, xenophobes, stupid, little englanders, brainswashed by "right wing" media. keep repeating and back patting.
Who is doing the winding up? Me trying to debate my side and opinion or those that are happy to pigeonhole and insult to self justify their opinion and then have each other verify that they are all on the righteous path?
Why would I want thanks from the Tories? I am not on the campaign trail here. I am giving my opinion. Is that allright with you or do you prefer it to be the one sided echo chamber where every post is moaning about the Tories with everybody happily e-patting each other on the back for being "correct."
If I see comment about something I think it is wrong then I will counter it with my opinion. I'm sorry if you think that is me trying to wind people up but it isn't.
Why would I want to join the Labour party? They have never known who they are, have always tried to unite too broad a coalition of factions that can't work together and now with the right of Tory Blairites and the left of Venezuela corbynites they are trying to unite an even broader coalition of factions.
At least the Tory factions are pretty close and while the left leaners want to think that anything right of centre is evil then they will lose elections because the reality is that normal folks vote right because the left parties in general are all over the place contradicting themselves and fighting each other rather than their opponents.
Remember that this current tit for tat all started because % of GDP spent on healthcare was considered to be an adequate measure. If so then the US must have the perfect system already seeing as they spend 16.5% of their GDP on healthcare.
I merely pointed out that % of GDP means nothing. It can mean that another country pays more than another for the same thing. And I pointed out that maybe (like Italy) our use of a goverment health institution rather than compulsory health insurance "should" mean that healthcare costs less here than in countries where private companies are the majority. It is incorrect to compare a country where healthcare is almost entirely "state funded" and therefore supposed to be cheap, with countries where private (expensive?) healthcare is much more prevalent.
There just seems to be a complete insistence from left leaning people that the NHS needs more money, Education needs more money, Councils need more money without anyone ever questioning why they always need more money. I don;t doubt the NHS hasn't got enough money to do it's job at the moment but that does not mean it actually should need that money to run. Where is all this money going?
