Have to agree with that. The 52 to 48 % leave vote was far to close for such an important decision and to be trumpeted by a remainer as a mandate so wrong. Would the referendum have happened had an Mixed-Member Proportional Representation elected government been in place? I doubt it. I do have a vested interest I'm a long term expat living in The Netherlands with my Indonesian wife. I worry, as do others in a similar situation, about our future. Time for tactical voting education.

Yes, I remember when we used to get holidays. We've got this, brexit negotiations and another Scots farce to put up with. Emotional (or electoral?) fatigue will kick in and those with extreme opinions will decide.
Sad state of affairs. I want to like this, but I'm worried what will happen if I hit the button.....
Those "idiots" include Queen Nicola, Prince Farron and the court jester Corbyn who constantly trot out the line.

Yes they are allowed however that would implode their whole ideology. They are supposed to be a Scottish Party that fights for Scotland. "Expanding" would change what they are.
And it was deliberately laughed out. Many people let an excellent chance at proper democracy go floating by without realising it.
It's interesting. I moved to Serbia 12 years ago. The UK and Serbia have an agreement between health services, although there is a vast difference between their proficiencies. The EU is an hour away (Hungary, Croatia) so I could possibly make it across the border for my European health card to take effect. Come the result of Brexit there will be millions of Brits across Europe with no health cover. I doubt millions of aging Brits will be welcomed home either!

We have local elections here next month. Turnout for them is generally poor, I can see it being even lower now with another election a month later.
Jan Ravens has just done a superb humorous impression of Theresa May. For a couple of seconds I really thought it was May until Ravens said something that May wouldn't say.

I genuinely find voter fatigue baffling. On the one hand people want democracy and on the other hand they just want the politicians to get on with it. At the same time they criticise the politicians cocking it up left, right and centre [actually, that's really true of the last 12 months what with Theresa May announcing that a never-so-divided country has come together], and then they don't want to turn up once in a blue moon. In all honesty we get the democracy we deserve in the end, basically because many people can't be bothered.

Russell Kane the comedian on his youtube/facebook "kaneings" does Theresa May as a crow. One of my favourite comedians.

I like him. Down to earth and common sense. He is what Labour should be although I disagree with him on Brexit. lol

Watch out for her dueting with Suggs during her campaign. In Our House we think it's an Embarrassment the number of MPs who wear Baggy Trousers and if things get worse after the election, we'll be on a Night Boat to Cairo. I Like Driving in My Car, but to leave we may even need to go On The Wings of a Dove. Altough our place is a House of Fun, (everyone gets on, so It Must Be Love) we'll leave it and find a Bed and Breakfast Man to stay with until The prime minister visits the queen to ask for the election (or does she ask The Prince) and then it all starts. 8the June is going to be a Grey Day and whatever the result we'll just have to Take it or Leave It.
It's crazy I tell you, they just won't Shut Up.
