So we can add serial liar to his list of attributes. I hear he is including straight murders of British tourists in Australia as terror attacks caused by Muslims now. The Queensland Police said it wasn't and the British mother of the victim has written an open letter to him not to include her murdered daughter in his insane persecution of innocent people. The sooner he's impeached the better. He's a joke. Just a very unfunny and dangerous one. The murderer has been arrested.

But if either would, I would suggest the latter, not the former.

You may be right. A lot of evidence suggests Trump at one time had as many Democrats around him as he did Republicans. Now he has surrounded himself by the sort of crazed fringe Republicans who aided his power grab. He may be in thrall to these people, but that doesn't mean he thinks like them. Perhaps he can be persuaded away from the neo fascists whispering in his ear. Or perhaps he can't.

I think he's a dangerous lunatic, seriously unhinged. But he is POTUS. When the US has practiced isolationism, as it has in the past, the consequences have been bad for them and for the world. So isolating Trump, & his asministration, may not be the way for the rest of the world to go. That said, I don't want to see our own govt sucking up to him, anymore than I want to see us sucking up to the govts of Saudi Arabia or China. If we are going to invite these people to dinner, we should be pointing out to them our disaproval of tyranny, racism, persecution of minorites, mysogeny and the impact of industry on climate.

I'm not sure I agree with "add". He's been a serial liar from the start. Time upon time through the campaign he was proven to have lied.

Unfortunately, when US voters were polled, the numbers said that most of his supporters knew he was lying but didn't care and intended to vote for him anyway. I felt that was one of the saddest parts of the vote.

You're right. Even as I posted it I knew it to be inaccurate. Really it was the news of the misinformation about the British tourist being murdered in Australia and being classed by Trump and his henchmen as a terror attack that I wanted to get across.
And indeed, voting for someone that you know is lying really is taking things to a new low. Then again, maybe they were lying and just didn't want to admit to have been taken in by him.

All politicians lie so it would be hard to vote if not for a liar. Trump does take that to the extreme though. Only lies and fake news come from his mouth.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump was confused about the dollar: Was it a strong one that’s good for the economy? Or a weak one?

So he made a call ― except not to any of the business leaders Trump brought into his administration or even to an old friend from his days in real estate. Instead, he called his national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, according to two sources familiar with Flynn’s accounts of the incident.

Flynn has a long record in counterintelligence but not in macroeconomics. And he told Trump he didn’t know, that it wasn’t his area of expertise, that, perhaps, Trump should ask an economist instead.

Trump was not thrilled with that response ― but that may have been a function of the time of day. Trump had placed the call at 3 a.m., according to one of Flynn’s retellings ― although neither the White House nor Flynn’s office responded to requests for confirmation about that detail.

So rumours of the late night coke and twitter binges maybe not without substance.

Another classic case of the tax dodging Guardian not practising what they preach:

The Guardian
is offering an internship to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic wannabe journos – but it won’t pay them. An advert states:

“The Guardian believes there should be a better representation of our diverse society in journalism, and each summer offers up to 12 two-week placements for students or graduates from BAME backgrounds… The scheme is unpaid, though reasonable daily travel expenses will be reimbursed.”

The following Guardian pieces will make good introductory reading for its lucky new interns:

The guardian is trash, thus such blatant hypocrisy shouldn't really be a surprise.

Toddler Trump throwing his toys out of his pram once again.

He really is the antithesis of Obama in almost every way.

I am absolutely sure that Peter Mandelson never, ever lies!!
