Farage agreed about a big Remain win. You're misrepresenting his comments about a second referendum though. They came in the context of the government's shady decision to spend £9m (£2m more than the campaign spending limit) on leaflets arguing the case for Remain, just before the campaign officially started.

The comment also came in the context of the shady b***ocks that his side painted on the side of the bus, their constant lies about the money that would be saved, etc, etc. Neither side came out of the campaign looking whiter than white. Both sides could claim the other side played unfairly.
When Farage said it, he meant it. Now he doesn't.
