It'd be really lovely if at least one of the parties had some rational conception of what is achievable.
There is little doubt where Corbyn stands personally, and that's been the case for some time. But he's coming under increasing pressure from within the Labour Party, especially from the CLPs, to shift his position; he claims to be a democrat above all else, we'll find out in the coming weeks how true that is.
So, if I was asked to guess how many actual bids were made, I think I would settle on three. Maybe the migrants coming across in dinghies were also credible bidders. At least they actually have a sea worthy craft, unlike Seaborne.
There's a solution that ought to satisfy everyone: bring across at least 100 lbs of food per head, gain permanent residency. Everyone wins!
Has anyone checked if Seaborne freight is actually older but has just re-registered under a different name? Maybe they were called Pinnacle before? We might find that they have headhunted Michael Fialka and Ali Dia to head up their board.
Why is the government on holiday while the clock ticks down on one of the more momentous deadlines in our history? Vin
1,000 police officers from other areas of the UK are to train to support Northern Irish police in case there's trouble after border checks are reintroduced in the event of Crash Brexit. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...it-1000-officers-training-trouble-hard-border What a ****ing trumph. Vin
So police forces that are already short of manpower must lose more officers to training and potentially serving in Ireland. Makes sense if you are part of the government I guess.
