If I had known about it and felt he had done it for the right reason then I probably would have respected him. Having said that I think IDS is a piece of s*** so I would have trouble believing that anything he did would be in the interest of the majority of the people rather than in the interest of himself and the party.
I thought it was good he resigned over the government's benefit policy personally. Still in minus figures in terms of respect of course but higher than it had been.
IDS does appear to have some principles, he's shown symptoms of that in the past. Precious little in the way of brains (known by his own staff as Ian Duncan Thick), but I think he probably is an honourable man.
This shabby rabble are currently propping up our weak and desperate Government....democracy?.Ha! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-44452600
I always think of him as IBS as he irratates the **** out if me. Just his manner I think, but he always comes across as apologetic and slightly confused which isn't a good thing from people with ambition to lead
The UK Conservative Government is in desperate need of an infusión of fresh blood. This is so obvious in their blinkered "Brexit" view that it is the "will of the people" Maybe, but this indicates that the present UK Government is susceptible to which ever way the wind blows. What the Conservatives need is a leader who believes that the UK has a future in the EU, who is outward looking, who knows what is best for the country. That is why the Conservatives should seek out Mariano Rajoy to become their next leader.
I saw one earlier just with Trump and the "caption" underneath was (typed as seen): The PenIs Mightier Than The Sword
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44480768 Something good coming out of Brexit, the possible banning of the importation of foie gras. Nothing anyone says will convince me this is not a good thing.
Oi, leave off with the badger baiting. It’s bad enough that I am dodging farmers with shotguns, blaming me for spreading bovine tb. It will only drive me underground where I will become set(t) in my ways.
it is a **** show as the old facilities are overwhelmed. with the parents (if the child is accompanied) being sent to a federal holding area, the kids have to be separated. illegals will have to understand that there is now a zero tolerance policy. as long as its safe, clean, with bedding, food and medical what more can people expect. they are building new places, much better than under Obama. www.bbc.com/news/av/world-us-canada-44491479/casa-padre-inside-a-child-migrant-shelter-in-texas
I think we're halfway there, with 60% of young people permanently locked out of the property market, and privatisation creeping into every institution
