Let's be honest here, whatever I say will not persuade you away from what you believe about Israel. And I am very sceptical about the veracity of news that comes out of Gaza.
But this is my opinion.
I agree it's difficult to get a totally truthful version of events but in my view many in the west are too ready to believe everything that comes out of Gaza and disbelieve the Israelis.
The label of genocide is very important because of war crimes and those who commit them being taken to court at some point. That is why the anti Israeli groups continually call it a genocide. There are some factors needed to support the genocide claim and of course Israel and it's supporters dispute those factors have been realised.
Your comment about "If it were Muslims doing what they are doing to Jewish people.....". Well, they already have and this war is a direct result of the Hamas attack on Jews at the Nova Music Festival in 2023. That atrocity seems to be generally forgotten now. Far from showing horror some people were dancing in the streets and even on this board the general tone was "yes it's terrible but this will give Israel the excuse they were looking for". To say I was shocked at the lack of sympathy for those Jewish victims and more concern shown for what might happen in Gaza is an understatement. There has been an underlying dislike of Israel/Jews by certain political groups in this country for many years, long before Israel decided to invade Gaza, and this action has given those groups a chance to promote anti Israeli rhetoric.
I don't deny the IDF are brutal, their attitude very simply put is kill or be killed. They are surrounded by governments and organisations who want to obliterate them and I believe, to them, the Nova attack was the last straw. They are now systematically hunting down Hamas and will destroy them. But despite what you say it won't be easy.
Finally the starving of the people in Gaza. Listen to the video link below if only to get an alternative point of view. The guy being interviewed says that UN figures confirm that 85% of aid lorries are intercepted inside Gaza by various factions including Hamas and it is they who are causing the food shortages. The UN, who are at odds with Israel have done nothing to stop the interceptions and are quite happy for Israel to get the blame.

As I say I don't expect to change views but have a listen anyway.

Fair play, although I disagree with a lot of things you put your point across well. I watched that video, think you may have posted before. Again probably certain truth to it, but when respected agencies are reporting what going on and the videos we see of people being killed waiting for food then Isreal are ultimately to blame. They shouldn't be starving a nation. I have no doubt either that Hamas I'm sure are syphoning off plenty too. I'm in no way condoning their actions in any of this ....Disagree that the festival has been forgotten. It's nearly mentioned on every news article still in relation to Gaza. Also most decent people I know or seen condemned it at the time. Whackjobs online maybe not. The oppression of the Palestinians before this created the response from Hamas, not that I'm saying it was right and as a result the Israeis are using it as carte blanche to ethnically clense the Palestinians and take their land. I really hope those that are letting this happen have their day in court.....They definitely had a right to retaliate but it's long gone past the stage that is anyway acceptable......I very much dispute that what we are seeing every day is anything but genocide. We're getting the footage every day and that's even without jounalists being allowed in.....You're right, neither of us will change each others point of view I would say but good to hear others viewpoints.
