Obviously, attacking the media source is a tried and tested tactic to discredit news you don't want to hear. But if it came from another source (except the Guardian of course) I've no doubt it would be attacked in the same manner. In any case, it's not the source but the subject matter that's unpalatable for the gang because they haven't had to deal with criticism of a Labour government before. I can understand that, after all a new government was what everyone had been crying out for and now, after only 8 weeks the authoritarian intentions, the removal of benefits and the cronyism have all surfaced. And it does explain why some of the replies on here are a bit more overemotional than usual.
Anyway, talking of the veracious Guardian and not wanting to be obsessed with one media source I've expanded my reading habits. I hope this is more acceptable.

So it seems that 2 tier Kier being on the gravy train for years can be added to the list, who would have guessed that?
Yes, yes I know Owen Jones is an odious little prick but he's a left winger and it's in the Guardian, so I feel it's the sort of thing that people will believe and not try to make out it's a lie.
And remember don't take the bait mate, it's all Trolleybollocks in that Guardian.![]()

Conservative MP Esther McVey has been branded "repugnant" for using a poem about the Holocaust to criticise the government's proposals for tougher rules on outdoor smoking.
Was it? Never mind.Repeating something that was already posted on Friday doesn't make it repugnant X2 Jabbs. Keep up mush.
I see that Starmer has been critical of the dynamic pricing system that is being used to sell Oasis tickets, with hints that the law might be changed to prevent this practice from continuing.
The way I see it, dynamic pricing is just another example of supply and demand, which is another way consumers get ripped off especially in the travel and tourism industry.
In my opinion, if the government stops dynamic pricing for concerts tickets then they really have to look at the price increases for holidays and travel during school holidays, because those industries are doing exactly the same as the ticket sellers, the only difference being that the prices can be seen in advance.
Look at where he is from. He came from a wealthy background in apartheid era South Africa. This move isn’t exactly a surpriseHoly ****. I have never really "done" Twitter. I was just reading a story on the BBC and it led me to Musk's X account. What the hell is this? Everything he says is liked and commented on by actual nazis. Actual holocaust deniers just happily basking in his glow. And not getting banned or their posts deleted.
I thought the guy was just a loon but he is a full on white nationalist. If he wasn't he would be removing this stuff.
The fact the the torys felt the need to create a position such as `Minister for Common Sense` speaks volumes regarding their tenure in government. The former ‘Minister for Common Sense’ has come out with a classic, just in case we needed a reminder of what a true joke of a government really looks like.
‘First they came for the communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a communist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
Pertinent words re Starmer’s smoking ban’
Slow clap for Esther McVey, thank you for lending us some perspective.

You’re probably right. I did think, after I posted, that if travel companies weren’t allowed to exploit school holiday periods, they would just increase prices for off peak holidays to compensate, but that would also be a gamble for the companies because those who look for cheap off peak breaks abroad, might not bother if the price was too high. The problem with Dynamic Pricing, or demand-led prices, is that suppliers will simply raise all prices to the highest level, with possibly the occasional 'special offer', if products aren't flying off the shelves.
