'I'm proud of the part my party has played, including in this intake the largest cohort of LGBT+ MPs of any parliament in the world'

Keir Starmer has paid tribute to Diane Abbott and LGBT MPs in his first remarks to the House.”

Jesus Christ. I can’t take 5 years of this identity politics virtue signalling crap.

No one cares about who you shag. Just do your ****ing jobs and improve the country.

The Tories had plenty of diversity and they were ****e. So we should ignore that and focus on merit and competence

Turn your TV and phone off then ffs.

Or move? If it is really that much of a problem.

Honestly I kind of knew the result of this election would make Os completely break (although that seemed to happen a while ago). Especially after he started to back Reform. That tees you up for the most disappointment - even more so than the Tories massive losses. There were fanatics out there who seriously thought Farage could win (I don’t think Os was one of those but he still set himself up for a disappointment)

But this break is a bit of speed run. Labelling the incumbent government as thieves before they’ve even done anything (despite the previous government looting our country) and now nonsensical ravings like the one above. Does some bland words really matter? The ravings seem more aligned with those you’d expect in response to Starmer standing up and stating some radical pro lgbt policy - which he hasn’t done and doesn’t seem particularly likely to (but I could be wrong here)

It’s completely unhinged. It’s been five days. Two of them weekend days. Parliament doesn’t even properly reconvene for weeks

I’ll admit the right and their reaction haven’t disappointed in the fallout of this.

“It’s a weak majority built on sand” - oh you mean like the 2019 one that was never ever going to hold but some conservatives still think can

“Large majorities are bad” - funnily enough this wasn’t said in 2019

“If you just add up the reform and conservative vote” - except only around a third of reform voters have said they would have voted Tory if reform wasn’t an option

“Labour got a disproportionate number of seats for their vote share” - again this is only really a problem when it doesn’t benefit the Tories

“Reform were shafted with only 5 seats despite a higher share of the votes than the Lib Dems” - the Green Party would like a word. As would many others. Again this is only complained about when the right or centre right parties are negatively impacted (or the ones they oppose benefit like the SNP in the past. Not going to say Lib Dem’s as their vote and seats are probably the most closely aligned out of all)

And countless other ridiculous takes from this

There are some very amusing videos out there from right wing channels if you can get past the absolute idiocy of some of the people who host them (not all mind you). Lotus Eaters is fun in a kind of hilariously tragic way. I don’t think they have the first clue of what left and right wing really is. Currently listening to one where they are saying all French politics is left wing even the National Rally. So that’s a good time !

<laugh> “Break” is a strong word.

I’ll be fine. Thanks for your concern. It’s just horrible to see the country heading towards a car crash in slow motion.

Also you guys can **** off with your condescending bollocks. Why are you allowed an opinion on here, but I have to turn it off?

This is a politics thread to discuss politics, I will discuss politics here. If you don’t like it, then don’t read my posts

"Reform UK has come under pressure to provide evidence its candidates at the general election were all real people after doubts were raised about a series of hopefuls who stood without providing any photos, biographies or contact details."

I think this is really serious issue if proved correct. Farage has denied this but it does not surprise me in Reform were involved in electoral fraud. It would not surprise me in the slightest if this had happened. I will be interested to see if any issue come to light due to campaign over spend at Clacton. The most satisfying thing about Reform is that they are clown but I would be woried if the extreme right were as geared up as is the case in France.

My gut feeling is that something is going to come crawling out of the woodwork with Reform. It will be a fascinatin watch and I will be intrigused how many Conservatives cross over to them.

The next election will be eveb more fascinating. The use of AI inspired tactical voting this election was interesting. Justr wonder if there will be more minority parties represented in Parliament next time around.

Have you been to Birmingham / luton / Bradford or anywhere in the country that has been the victim of these globalist policies?

They are absolutely ****ed.

You seem to want to pretend that there is no issue. But there are thousands of people who will vote for pro Hamas & pro Islam MPs.

Your liberal atheist views are leading towards a MORE religious country, not less.

It’s just the main religion will be less tolerant.
I've been to Georgia and California
And anywhere I could run
I took the hand of a preacher man
And we made love in the sun
But I ran out of places and friendly faces
Because I had to be free
I've been to paradise, but I've never been to me

I for one am enjoying your posts far more recently

Not that they seem to be discussing much politics though
