The Tory right gave us Liz Truss. The Tory right has given us Rwanda. The Tory right got us Brexit.
The Tory’s have not lost the vote because of a shift left or a shift right. They are not seen as competent and therefore they are unelectable.

I don't particularly feel too worried about a milkshake but we don't want **** being chucked at all candidates which is where it ends up if you get permissive.
Given that I think Prescott was right to lump the guy that threw an egg at him back in the day, I cant really derive too much pleasure from this type of thing without being a hypocrite.
Anyway on another note, the fact the Tories have failed on immigration doesn't automatically equal them being left wing. I'm not going to go ahead and call them fascists or anything, but many of the policies they look to enact would have been considered unacceptably far to the right just a couple of decades ago. Its no coincidence that the further they move in that direction the more they slip in the polls.
Most of the British population are centrist and just want affordable homes, food, usable infrastructure and to be able to get a GP appointment when they need, all this other culture war nonsense doesn't address that.
Can't pay your energy bill this month? The Conservatives want to know whats in your pants.
Want a functioning A&E Department in your area? The Conservatives want to stop sex education, particularly the bit that educates children on how to protect themselves from sexual abuse.
Want to be able to swim without the risk of drinking in some e-coli? The Conservatives want to reintroduce National Service.
Can't afford a home? The Conservatives introduce the triple lock plus.
Nout for working people and the young, just a load of worthless noise and red meat to an ever dwindling core. That is why they are on course to be routed, they simply offer nothing to the British people at large.
No - probably just listening to too much Lotus Eaters or the like. Since they actually have tried to argue that the current government is the most left wing ever - that’s right ever. More so than Blair, Atlee etc
I think this claim from people on the right about the current government is due to furlough / lockdowns + being the government that has been in power during the relative explosion in cases of transgender children at the Tavistock and (in their view) allowing it to happen. I think they might also claim that the large increase in net migration is due to the government being “left wing” - rather than just incompetent. But I can’t recall on that one
The Lotus Eaters are a Liverpool band so they are bound to be very critical of the current Governent but not for the Tories being left-wing, surely??? They were maybe being ironic.

I don’t disagree with that. But the big problem on most people’s mind is the millions of people they let into the country with minimal background checks. That’s what is pushing people to vote reform.
Combine that with furlough etc as Greg said above. They haven’t been conservative in the slightest.
Review all their decision making and you will see that they haven’t been conservative or right wing in the slightest.
Even Brexit was mostly against their will and they were extremely hesitant to actually follow through with it.
They have opened the borders wider than ever and increased government debt, spending and taxes. As loading said they’ve basically been totally incompetent in every way

The problem the last rational incarnation of the Tory Party had with Brexit, was that everyone with a functioning brain, be they left, right, or centre, knew it was going to be a ****show. Even Boris Johnson, the man who eventually delivered it, knew it was a ****ing stupid idea - you only have to witness the horrified look on his face the day after the refendum, to recognise that. The whole tragic mess only happened because Cameron wanted to outflank the right in his own party, and bury Farage at the same time. Now the bug-eyed fascist grifter is picking over the corpse of the Conservative Party; you reap what you sow.
