Apparently, for what it’s worth, a recent poll of just 20000 people, who read the main daily newspapers showed that only Mail readers still intend to vote for the Tories at the next election.
That would make a good headline, but I would suggest that the size of the poll would make the findings invalid.

According to this report, it takes the National Grid 13 years to connect renewable energy to the grid. The last sentence is mind blowing, if accurate.

I have said before that the technology isn’t there to switch the grid to sustainable energy sources.
We need to go nuclear or give up on the idea before we irreparably damage the countries power

When proposing the Nation State Law, Bibi stated that "Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people, and the Jewish people alone". Surely you recognize that's a bit of a problem for the millions of non-Jewish people within the borders of Israel?

Not sure what the us Republican Party has to do with anything. My views are mostly because I have a friend/colleague in Israel who I have spoken to at length about the conflict before.
I think the anti-Israel rhetoric is OTT based on his lived experiences, although he is obviously a biased source.
Obviously I completely agree with the anti-war stance - it’s the civilians and innocents on both sides that pay the price and I hate it
I'm coming at this from a 'stop using what remains of Palestinian territory as one massive internment camp, give them back the land that's been stolen gradually since 1947 and stop trying to drive the remaining population out of the country by knocking their houses down and generally stealing their property' point of view personally.
I have a few Jewish friends, and I don't make the mistake of thinking that they in any way represent Israeli government policy, just as I don't make the mistake of thinking Hamas represents the Palestinians as Hamas in Palestine and Hezbollah in Lebanon are clearly tools of Iran and are part of the bigger regional rivalry between Sunni and Shia Islam.

The reaction on here to an almost unspeakable atrocity in Israel is beyond belief. Going through the posts it's hard to find anyone of you criticising Hamas without trying to excuse them because of Israel's previous behaviour.
It's either been provoked by Israel and helped by America or not a good idea by Hamas, not because of the inhuman savagery meted out but because of the repercussions from Israel. I know it's expected of the left to take up the pro Palestine cause (and you may be correct, I agree Israel are far from innocent) but the apparent unwillingness to unconditionally condemn Hamas is, quite frankly, ****ing unbelievable.

I think most people agree that these are horrible events. For my part, all I have said is this horrible and won’t do Palestine any good. Others are trying to put this in a political context.
Nobody deserves this violence. The Palestinians living in Palestine don’t and the Israelis who have been brutally murdered and kidnapped don’t either.

Are you suggesting they haven't been provoked by Israel? And that the Palestinians are the initial aggressors in this conflict?
I can't condone the kidnapping and murder of civilians but frankly any country which has ever been part of a major war has committed atrocities and you can't completely ignore the part Israel have played in bringing it to this point. It absolutely doesn't make it right though of course and should still be called out.
Exactly the same way as our actions in the middle east and Afghanistan doesn't justify ****s blowing themselves up on the underground. It undoubtedly played a part though and you can't just ignore that, every action has a reaction and all that.
I think it's easy for us to say how violence is wrong and never the answer. If you're actually living there and though, witnessing your friends and family being subject to ethnic cleansing and forced to leave homes, while the world stands by and does NOTHING. Then I can see why violence may become more appealing.
Imo condemning the Palestinians for attacking Israel is like condemning the Ukrainianians for attacking Russia. Maybe we should send them some storm missiles and modern tanks?
