MEP 'lost the feeling down one side of his body'
According to Sky News, Steven Woolfe was punched once by a colleague before he staggered back and hit his head on metal bar. The two colleagues were both seemingly alright after the fight and went to vote.

After vomiting and collapsing on a bridge he reportedly told the person who rushed over to assist him that he had "lost the feeling down one side of his body".

Some 2 hours after the fight, Woolfe collapsed after leaving voting session early. He had a fit on the passerelle. Paramedics were called

****ing idiots not calling a ambulance when he got knocked out.

Woolfe is awake

Hookem is on the run and in a car chase with the police!

This is beyond mad now.

It's not the only thing. Someone stopped to take a photo and then post it on twitter instead of phoning for an ambulance.

Or

A spokeswoman for France's national police said: "No one has called us about this incident and so we have no plans to investigate it at this time. If someone decides to ring and make a complaint, we will of course follow it up."

His CT scan, plus the rest of his health care during this episode, assuming his European Health Insurance card is up to date, will of course be free. Those campaigning for "hard-Brexit" like Mr. Woolfe will naturally prefer to pay the full price for these services.

I'd have solar panels if it wasn't so expensive so if a grant was available I'd be very interested. The thought of drilling down into the earth and blasting a high-pressure mixture of water, sand and chemicals at the rock to release the gas inside just sounds dangerous to me. Reports of water pollution and earth tremors don't help.

Spot on Whiteley!

Channel 4 are reporting that there was not actually a fight and is casting doubt on the suggestion there was any physical attack.

I have to say that UKIP are a total travesty. Although they are not on my side of politics, I find it difficult to understand how they garner so much support. With Brexit now upon us, there is no role for this party and the quicker they disappear to the fringes, the better if politics. I think they are a manifestation of the lack of trust people had in politicians and it will be interesting to see how Jeremy Corbyn fairs with their core support. Even the Tories admit that he is perceived as having greater integrity and more principled. It was even mentioned that people believed that he had "the common touch" - amazing how things change in the matter of weeks since the conference. All he needs to do is to ensure that his policies start to chime with the voters. I think he will eventually get elected but he needs to ensure that his MPs are replaced with those more enthusiastic about the direction in which he feels the party should go.

****ing hell

Makes sense to me. No point in having immigrants unless they are contributing to society. And as an expert in economics, she's clearly redundant as it's been made clear UK has had enough of experts. Also sends a strong message to other nations that they need to quit trying to fob off their best and brightest to the UK. The nerve!

Maybe the UK gov't should call Trump. I hear he has some rapists he can send over.

what about allowing immigrants in for humanitarian reasons?

The whole immigration issue and the relation to EU / Brexit is a non-starter. In or out of Europe, I think people from less developed countries wil want to improve their lot, especially if their countries are rife with civil war , disease or famine. Much of this problem is broad about by the Western World leaving the rest behind in the 19th Century and only allowing unscrupulous countries like China to have a piece of the pie in the last twenty odd years. I don't think a tough stance on immigration is going to have a bearing. If you want to prevent population movement, you must do something to redistribute income across the globe more fairly.
