I might be opening a can of worms here, and I might risk offending some, but taking the comments “some youngster” and “another newbie” re-inventing the wheel etc makes me think of the infatuation that big business has with “graduate entry” schemes.
I have seen so many of these, very academically, intelligent people struggle with the basics of a business, with very many not having the necessary people skills, to gain respect and support.

I would sooner work for/with a senior who has worked their way up from the ground floor, than someone parachuted into the middle of the management structure, simply because they went to university.

Bang on in my experience . Not all , but by far the majority . Make me fume with their JFDI attitude :steam:

What? No Diane Abbott in the Shadow Cabinet!! <wah>

I suppose it is about keeping the best parts of Corbyn's era but moving on with the injection of fresh blood and new ideas.

They are now starting to look as if they are electable once more. If you don't form the Government you can't change a thing. You can have all the radical ideas in the world but if nobody likes them you will get nowhere.

The problem for Starmer is going to be getting the right wing press in this country to accept him and his policies and not constantly snipe at him with lies and distortions.

Hopefully everyone will stop reading the press when this virus business is all over. The unrelenting diet of fear mongering and lies from the oligarch owner media has been one of the worst aspects of the crisis.

Auntie Beeb, on the other hand, has mostly managed measured, responsible coverage.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...…….Laura Kuenssberg!!!

Get her off the television. She seems to revel in misfortune and I think was instrumental in Jeremy Corybn failing to get traction with the British public.

I saw Alexei Sayle at the Theatre Royal, Winchester back in January and his comments about her were spot on although the moderators would not allow me to repeat them here.

Love Alexei Sayle. As he is a critical comedian with certain views about the US Presidente, I suppose he would not be allowed into that country.

That's another name for the online search list, what was the tour called?

I very rarely read anything from the Barclay brothers, express group, Rothermere or Murdoch propaganda rags. Also try to restrict access CV coverage it can be repeatitive and unrelenting.

Yeah, I purposely avoid all the wall to wall coverage, it does my nut in. For some reason The Metro bombards my tablet with click bait headlines which I never click on.

I allow myself a maximum of one hour - but seldom that - BBC a day, and check CNN occasionally, to see what the giant orange baby has done this time..

I find the burbling of the chump in the ****ehouse quite amusing albeit dangerous at times.

I give her the benefit of the doubt. She is my guilty pleasure, and for some unimaginable reason I have quite a thing for her.

Can't believe I admitted that on a public forum.

Ah man, can't stand the woman, let's go to Laura kuenssberg who can tell us a story using exactly the same words as we've just said in a different order.

Put her and Nicola in the same room with me and I would probably be as excited as Kyle Walker was when he was in his apartment the other day with his women visitors.
