Must admit, I'm starting to get concerned at the BBC.

It's the era of misinformation. We have, under our fingertips, the ability to speak real truth or lie, or to read truth or lies. It just takes a certain amount of skill in filtering, to know the difference between the BS and the RT. Some people would rather not bother to acquire the skill. It's their loss, but it ultimately affects us all, as in our fundamentally stupid FPTP political election system, for example.

Deepfakes are truly, truly scary. The technology isn't yet perfect, but we're approaching an inflection point where virtually nothing will be provably true, where we quite literally can't trust our lying eyes.
Yes, and I don't quite know how we are going to combat it (Deep Fakes) yet. Because we will have to if society isn't going to fracture more than it is already doing.
