…. although some would be glad to see the back of us, I`ll add the potential break up of the Union by Scotland becoming independent as a consequence of Brexit.

I took the dog, my mobile and a first aid kit out with me this morning expecting to find some overweight bloke with unkempt blonde hair dead in a ditch. I was disappointed to not find him.

That’s because it isn’t yet Dead in a Ditch day, which is what I will refer to Halloween as being, from now on.

I don't think he'll have much use for first aid if he's dead. You'd be better off bringing a shovel.

It carries onto the reverse side. I'm glad their serious about this, because I feel like the Labour Party is grudgingly happy to let Brexit happen.Just remember that the majority of people in the UK don't want Brexit to happen now that the avalanche of truth has come forward.

JC is spot on in his approach with Johnson. I feel it is the duty of the present Parliament to resolve the Brexit issue, either with the HoC accepting the latest deal with the addition of amendments and then putting it to the Nation. If Bunter's deal is debated and the inevitable amendments included, it is likely to win the day in a public vote. Once done, then Labour can present its manifestó against the Tories. Hope Mandelson is involved in this instead of adding his perpetual criticism on the way Labour is shaping up. Post Brexit, Farage is washed up, the Lib Dems are an irrelavance, except Chuka ( come back to Labour, please), so it will be a contest between the two. SNP will have a landslide in Scotland.

Mandelson is being critical of Labour as much as anything due to their incompetence. There is no way that Labour will win more than 200 seats at a GE. Probably 180 is realistic with most of the losses to The Tories. The only saving grace is that in many Northern Leave seats voters might be unwilling to switch straight to Pfeffel and may opt for Nige instead. If this happens to any extent then the losses could be ameliorated.

The SNP are going to have almost a clean sweep. Personally I think Jo Swinson with a 5500 majority may well go and I think that almost all Tory seats will be lost and maybe Labour too. In a such a situation I think that Indyref2 might be impossible to fight off and quite possibly would be won by the Scots.

I hope all the Lib Dem MP’s who voted Tory austerity into being are flushed down history’s toilet when Corbyn wins his majority.

Labour are currently being quoted at 20/1 against getting a majority.

It will be a hung parliament. Lib Dems will take quite a lot of Labour voters from the last election.

You are probably right and the Lib Dems abstaining from the NHS vote is, IMO, them sending out a message that they would be happy to support the tories in another coalition.
Just the matter of coming to an arrangement on the EU and brexit

The LibDems were dead in the water before they recast themselves as a single issue party. So we’ll see how well their manifesto stands up to scrutiny.

The next election will be interesting for a number of reasons; both the Tories and LibDems will want to make it all about Brexit. Labour will try to shift the debate onto other areas like austerity, the NHS, the housing crisis, investment in schools, taking utilities like the railways into public ownership.
