All getting a bit ridiculous this. Voting is a private matter between you and the ballot box and membership of a party does not dictate that you always vote for it at every election. I have lived in an area of Western England where the Labour candidate had no chance and their members were voting Liberal en masse to get rid of the Tory down there. It would have been better for him to simply shut his mouth afterwards because nobody is compelled to say which way they voted.

  4. To be fair Cologne there's a difference between tactical voting and publicly stating you voted against the party that you've been employed by and are considered an integral member. I honestly don't know why he's surprised!
I haven't Lord Heseltine moan - mind he's probably thinking they saved him a job...

I wonder how many Tories voted for Farage Ltd? We know one who would have if he hadn't forgotten. Campbell didn't attempt to influence others because he didn't announce it until Sunday evening. A former chairman of the Labour party and Home Secretary has also said that he did the same as Campbell. Heseltine also voted against his party, but not for Farage Ltd. The real problem is that people are seeing the damage that Brexit can do to the country and are far more patriotic by voting against it. We should be questioning the party leaders about where they stand as no one seems to know instead of trying to blame people of experience for saying what they believe to be true.

Probably something along the lines of, poor Boris. Nasty people spreading lies. He doesn't lie. He has been misunderstood each time he has been fired for lying.

I see that the Europe editor of the Daily Telegraph launched a damming attack on Raab today accusing him of lying over his talks in Brussels. Guess he might have been trying to distract attention from one of his own.

The LibDems are the leading political party in the latest opinion poll. Just try to imagine the dreadful thought of the country being run by lightweight goons who cannot even decide whether to have porridge or muisli for breakfast.

This is more or less inevitable SH. The Lib Dems have had a consistent policy on Brexit from day one onwards and have acted on it. The majority has tilted against Brexit and the Lib Dems are the party to benefit from that. It appears to most voters that they are far more capable of making decisions about the major issues of the day than the two main parties.
