Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.

Clearly you didn't get as far as this part.

"It’s a mess. No candidate stands out, which is why so many are thinking of going for it. As a general rule the able candidates are ruled out by their views on Brexit while the candidates with appropriate views on Brexit are ruled out by their ability."

No, I'm putting in suitable drainage for a septic tank. Relax, us party members will chose one of the excellent Brexit favouring candidates.

"At least when Moggy gets the top job the Tory bus will be rarely seen:

Except, perhaps, at Leicester, where they stop to change the horses."

Thank goodness there is still some humour about even if it is tinged with truth.

No leadership election again. When did you join up to be involved SH? Long time ago I think.

Delayed again I see. Over a year ago it was going to happen according to you. You must have very sticky hands with all that fudge on them.

How many more failures and costs paid for by the taxpayer have to take place before Grayling is removed. He was told when he was Justice Secretary that his plans to privatise the probation service would not work, yet he carried on handing out contracts. Now the service has been taken back into state control, and the bill for his failure is in excess of £500 million. Handing out contracts to ferry companies without ships, coughing up £33 millions to Eurotunnel because he lashed that up and was in the courts. Trying to pass the blame for the largest chaos ever on train timetables onto others when he was in charge, the list is endless. Probably he believes he should enter the donkey derby for PM.

Remainer May has had her marching orders, she will probably announce her departure after she loses the next vote on her 'deal'. Boris is favourite to take over although the Tories often elect an outsider as leader. This will be the time the Tories return to being the nation's favourites.

Think I will join up to vote for Grayling. Mind you the way the party operates I might not get a vote. Seems that according to some the leading figure is Ledsome.

I'm not buying your Tory raffle tickets. Anyway you would not be able to participate in this leadership election. The party grandees put a time condition on new members to avoid those naughty people trying to sway the votes. My timing seems just about right.

I thought the time limit was three months, not over a year. So July, August and September would give me plenty of time. £25 quid to get Grayling installed would be a bargain. Maybe not though as I wouldn't wish to help them out of their current financial difficulties.

There is likely to be a Tory leadership election sooner rather than later. Save your cash for an upgraded crystal ball. You would probably be the only one voting for Grayling. It is not like countdown where the lowest score wins. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

What is countdown? Is it a low grade TV programme or something to do with the number of Tory PMs brought down by the loonies in the party?
