Sidestepped it again. You should pop down to Twickers for a trial.

They are only the results from a poll taken as the government sinks into internal chaos, but they do show taken overall where the mood in the country is going.

Interesting Frenchie, unfortunately these raise more questions than they answer. For the EU Elections 39% are still unaccounted for - I could be optimistic and think that they are all potential Greens <cheers> Similar for the Council elections where 33% are still unaccounted for. As to the leave the EU Debate - what do the other 43% want ? As far as the second referendum ie. what would you vote - are there really still 24% don't knows after 3 years of hearing about nothing but Brexit ? Unfortunately elections and referendums are not decided by those who have definite opinions on things - but on exactly what the 'don't knows' do on the day in question - which can be erratic.

When you look into the details you find that a huge number of people have no real interest in the EU or council elections. 20% or even lower is not unusual for the turnout. Research shows that those who do vote are often the older people who still regard it as something that they should take part in and have time to visit the polling station.
The 24% doesn't really surprise me when you see the way that the two main parties are giving out such mixed messages. If you look at the recent voting figures in Westminster you can see that the Tories are split three ways, and Labour in two ways. It is little wonder that these so called leaders are not giving out any clear advice, but that was always likely to happen.
It has also been shown that since the 2017 election, you are now going to be into your 50's before voting Tory, rather than your middle 40's

The problem is that low turnouts at elections produces bizarre results Frenchie. All the smaller parties know that this is their big chance in such a scenario. People who vote for the smaller parties are normally more activated and turn up in wind rain or shine whereas the stayers at home for such elections are normally from the bigger parties. This is a big chance for us in the EU Elections here because the German Green Party is currently getting 19% on opinion polls (doesn't sound a lot I know but it still makes us currently the second most popular party here). The current polls here show the following:

    CDU/CSU 29%
    Green Party 19%
    SPD 15.5%
    AfD 14%
    FDP 10%
    Die Linke 8.5%

All very complicated because the current coalition government of CDU/CSU - SPD (equivalent of Tory - Labour) would no longer have a majority, so any future coalition here would have to be a three party one. With everyone refusing to go into coalition with the AfD this makes building a government far from easy. Fortunately this country is so decentralized it doesn't matter so much - at least in terms of internal affairs.

Excellent news that slimeball Assage is able to face the criminal charges he has avoided for so long.

We should be thankfull to him for exposing American atrocities to the World and defending the right of free journalism. The Swedish have revoked their arrest warrant and dropped their investigations against him so it is now a purely British - American affair. Under no circumstances should he be extradited to face their draconian punishments - or is Britain playing the catspaw of uncle Sam yet again ?

Er....Ecuadorian (with an a). I actually have no idea if he is a creep or not, as I don't know the chap personally - which, obviously you do, as you have come to the conclusion that he is both a 'slimeball' and a 'creep'. All I can say is that the information which he disclosed revealed atrocities committed by the USA. which, otherwise, would have remained hidden. The Swedish 'case' against him appears to have been dropped - or rather they stopped investigating it, by which we can possibly conclude that it was a set up job anyway, with the aim of getting him back to the USA by fair means or foul. I can only imagine that your wrath against this man stems from the fact that you are not in favour of freedom of information (which doesn't actually surprise me).

Are you the Lord High Court Judge ? The Swedish authorities stopped investigating the case and withdrew an arrest warrant over it - had it really been a staightforward case they would never have done that. But of course you know better as always ! <doh>

Actually the case is likely to be reopened if he makes it back to Sweden. Hopefully he has a 20 year detour in an American jail first.

Had it really been a rape charge Sweden could have him extradited on it, without waiting for him to go to Sweden. The fact that they haven't implies that the case is either a set up job, or has no solid grounding, or the USA is pulling the strings. Apparently you have no problem with somebody being incarcarated for bringing the truth to light, which, again, does not surprise me.

I'm surprised you are calling Swedish officials corrupt. Hopefully the yanks will try him first. He put many lives in danger, maybe people died because of him. I'm sure we will find out more at his trial.
