Yes!!!! But I am seriously worried about the way Scotland is going politically. I feel more at risk here and the same alienation to the system as I did when I was in Ven and Chavez came along. I find myself despising a party and certain humans in a way that is very unhealthy, I find myself wondering how such a blatantly racist and power hungry party can fool so many people with populist rhetoric whilst constantly failing to deliver in their areas of responsibility. Could it be that there is an agenda in Westminster to cut Scotland free but not to be seen as the instigators? It looks that way from here, if I was governing the UK I would not allow such a racist incompetent local government to continue expanding unchecked inciting treason within the population. Good game yesterday though. I'll leave the 2milliion house and settle for a broom cupboard at the vic...

On what grounds would you classify the SNP as blatantly racist ?

Their hatred of England and the English. Its completely over the top. "a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another." their continuous assertion that all things Scottish are superior to anything English, their promotion of difference as a way to put down the English and in particular London. I wouldn't say all SNP supporters are racist but the whole philosophy of the party is based on racism, separatism and grievance. Recently this ridiculous assertion that because "Scotland" voted to stay in the EU is getting on my nerves. 1) it was a UK vote and 2) Pro unionists by nature (those like myself) voted for Union both times ie. no independence and remain.. its a long stretch to say us remain voters North of the border would do a 180 and believe independence is better.

I would challenge you to provide one example of this 'hatred for the English'. Racism means the attaching of a negative stereotype to any group of people (normally a race - which neither the English nore the Scottish are) - and then prejudicial behaviour based on that. Is it racism to want self determination ? Are the Tibetans or the Catalans also racist because they want independence from a larger power ? Have you had any sign whatsoever that English people would be discriminated against in an independent Scotland ? Is it Scotland where Poles and Rumanians are being attacked, and otherwise discriminated against ? It seems to me that coming from a country (ie. England) which just voted to turn it's back on nearly all of it's neighbours, and where most of them voted solely upon the issue of Immigration, that you are not free to point the finger at anyone else in this way. The referendum divided Britain - Scotland and N. Ireland against England and Wales, London and all of the big cities against middle England, the young against the old etc. etc. To simply ignore these divisions and go ahead on the basis of 'we won, so just accept it', is lunacy in the highest degree. If you feel threatened in Scotland (and I know many English in Scotland who don't feel this way), then why are you there ?

One example.. (I'm not even going to bother about the personal ones, I live here remember and as I wouldn't expect you to quote your personal experience in Germany which I'm sure is positive I don't expect my experience here to be questioned) so I'll use Farage even though I disagree with him on most things http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Souare-airlifted-hospital-motorway-crash.html . The Scotts see themselves as a separate race of celts against the anglo saxons (I'm celtic welsh mixed with viking Norman and Anglo Saxon) prejudice is daily here in Scotland and has got a lot worse in the last 10 years. Yes with the Englander go home brigade we will be discriminated against, I even have Scottish friends who are discriminating already. Don't know about Rumanians but poles and Romanians yes... http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/eu-referendum-racism_uk_576fe161e4b08d2c56396075 I do not support the UK Brexit, being consistent in my philosophy and politics I do not support Scottish separatism either. The referendum did not divide Britain at all It's already divided on many lines but overall we are one Nation, the United Kingdom under the Union Flag. A flag my grandfathers and their fathers before them fought for for values I share. Why am I still here in Scotland? Are you advocating that because of racism I should leave? Gee wiz just because we oppose on many issues I don't see why you can't see whats happening here, you live your cosy life in Germany, we live on the frontiers of this world to provide energy, never has there been an oilfield in a decent place of any significance, we take the rough with the smooth wherever we live but Scotland is part of my nation, the UK and I should feel comfortable in my own home in any part of that Kingdom. Sturgeon and her party do not allow that dividing the country and people by place of birth... http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/...r_repeat_of__racist__protests_on_Scots_visit/

Maybe the boundary commission will put the Labour Party out of it's turmoil as Corbyn's seat looks as if it will disappear.

Genuinely, I've always thought that. Without the Scots we'd stay Tory forever.
That said, and I'll whisper this, if men had lost the vote we'd have had Tory government since the war, not a bit of stirring, it is surprisingly fact. I didn't say it, though, Hornette, honest... <whistle>

With the boundary changes we are potentially likely to have a Tory Govt for elections to come....and of course they will move further to the Right...... who knows what will happen to the Welfare State, Health and Education.................

Teresa May after promising One Nation rhetoric is looking to be as Right as the previous lot... Grammar schools now... what a political farce... our education sector is just becoming a roundabout....... and of course no public mandate to proceed with this policy

Not sure many governments in recent times have had what I'd call an education policy...meddling seems a better term! For example, spend years developing vocational educational qualifications in schools because all agree they're needed and then proclaim schools are failing because their qualifications are not as rigorous as the perceived academic qualifications which are then criticised as over-dependent on rote learning so we need to stimulate students' creativity but art, literature, drama and music are not proper subjects etc etc etc etc ....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

While that is being chewed over it just takes the attention away from the much larger problem she says she will deal with, without telling anyone how she intends to do it.
