Wonderful news, David Davis appointed Brexit Secretary, he will form a powerful force with Boris to ensure Brexit means Brexit.

Another serious leaver Liam Fox to lead new International Trade dept. She has kept her word to give leavers prominent roles. Gove's job might be to feed the cat!!

David Davis two days ago: "The ideal outcome, (and in my view the most likely, after a lot of wrangling) is continued tariff-free access."

What will be the trade off?

    She as done a deal....

Unite the country = Unite the Tory party.....

    To be expected...

The only way I will take this seriously is to treat it all as a side show for the next couple of years..... and just wait till we get on to firm ground....

I wonder where Leadsom and Gove will figure... .will May go the whole 'hog' so to speak ;)

His type of Brexit is different from either yours or that of Farage SH. He is more of a lover of free trade than he is a hater of free movement - he has himself said that the former was more important than the latter. It is a token step to bring some sort of unity to the party - but Bojo's image suffered greatly immediately after the referendum result. Brexit is being neutralized, step by step, it may still happen at some stage, but it will be a very different result to the one which you are hoping for. Every change in EU. legislation once negotiations have started, needs to be ratified by parliament (still three quarters full of remainers) - so that the end result will be a very watered down version. Either we will end up with a relationship similar to Norway and the EU. ie. free access to the market but still have to comply by all of its rules, but without voting rights (still enough of 'Brexit' there to be able to say that they honoured the referendum result). Or they must take the 'rebel' course, and replace European markets with singly negotiated arrangements with individual states - a process which can only start once out of the EU. and could take many years. I think the job of PM. is a poisoned chalice at the moment - so, for the moment, you are welcome to it, because it is the Tories who will have to take the blame for all the economic instability which is to come, and the related austerity measures which will be associated with it.

All of these politicians realise free movement is off the table. I would have thought everybody is for free trade. You are going to be more disappointed with the outcome than Corbyn's tenure.

Both Hammond and Davies strongly believe in the single market. Boris will be sent to Outer *****lia to upset the rulers and Fox will be abroad most of the time. Seems as if the lady is doing quite a good job so far. It looks like Brexit enough to keep some happy, but the truth lies somewhere else.

Have you still not realized the basics of the situation. Cameron was offered a special deal on this, in as much as EU. citizens now cannot sign on for benefits for a waiting time of 4 years in the UK. this is different to the way UK. citizens are handled, and, as such, is a concession made by the EU. which is actually against their own rules. There is nothing else on offer - if you want free access to the biggest market in the World then freedom of movement is a condition of this - full stop. The other thing you do not realize is that interference with this principle will lead to the same in reverse ie. restrictions on British people working and travelling freely in Europe, restrictions on their ability to buy houses there, non validation of the British driving licence in Europe, non acceptance of British academic qualifications in Europe.......need I go on ?

No deal will include open UK borders for EU nationals, get used to it. There will no doubt be some kind of deal. European countries of course will be able to impose the same restrictions as the UK puts in place. Each nation should be able to dictate entry rules which suit them.

If the EU had given Cameron something worthwhile then Brexit may not have happened, it would have been easy to have allowed a workable emergency break on immigration.

The people in charge will be Davis, Johnson and Fox all firm Brexit warriors, I'm extremely happy the will of the people's view will be carried through. May is doing an excellent job giving leave campaigners prominent positions.
