You've missed the point completely. Anyone who thinks Poker is all luck and no skill (either online or in live play) is deluded. There are literally hundreds of online players who made their reputation there and moved on to live games for big stakes. They hold their own in the major events, so is that because they were simply very lucky online and that luck is continuing in Big live games, or is it because they are very good poker players?
You've missed my point, clearly. I never said there was no skill in live poker, in fact I said quite the ****ing opposite. You tried to prove micks point by using a quote from years before online poker was even big, in fact online poker might not have even existed in 1998.
Public online poker - No skill. As has already been stated it is littered with bots, thieves and far too many people who don't even know how good their hand is. Online poker tournaments - Some degree of skill, very little though. Reading betting patterns and probabilities is only a tiny part of poker. Live poker - As any professional poker player will tell you - it is very different. It requires a great deal of skill to be consistently good at it. I could list numerous differences but I seriously doubt you will ever succumb to a point made by me so I'll keep it short. Online poker = Amateur football to league 1 level. Live poker = Champions league.
