What would like to happen is: Birmingham H - W Bolton H - W Crystal Palace A - L Watford H - W (Hull can you do us a favour and give the auto spot to Watford before this game, so they play the Udinesse C team) Forest A - D 10 Points. But knowing our luck: Birmingham H - D Bolton H - D Crystal Palace A - L Watford H - L Forest A - L 2 Points
The obvious problem is that we now need to win 4 of 5 aginst teams above us when we have only won 1 in 12 against teams mostly below us ... heart has to rule head to remain optimistic ... but look how Wigan did at the end of last season ... you never know!
Yeah, play off semi final 2nd leg Win the first leg 6-0, send out the B team for the 2nd leg and lose by the odd goal
On a game-by-game basis, we certainly have the ability. But, consistcy... thats what we have to see. However, win on friday and all of a sudden its pressure to the teams around us!!!
Birmingham are unpredictable, they got smashed 5-0 at home by Barnsley but they beat Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park Bolton have been crap all season but at the minute are on a very good run. Many teams have been here before on long unbeaten runs and most of the time we end their runs Palace away will be the toughest of the lot IMO. They hammered us here Watford at home again will be tough but we have a very good record against them here. Normally its a bit of a goal fest. Forest away, local derby, do we need to say any more?
I think NP's heart was with Leicester. So the correct career choice. He built some good foundations for us but I prefer what Bruce ha done for us. Maybe if NP had stayed he might have been give the backing like Bruce has?
I believe he would have, but it would have been different. The likes of Elmo wouldnt have come in, as thats the Bruce factor, but you would have got the likes of Knockaert and marshall. Whether your team would be better or worse we wont know, but it would most certainly be different.
He made the right choice in that he got a **** load of money and I think he preferred living in Leicester/the Leicester region. However, he joined a club with a lot of pressure to get promoted. He was let off last season as it was 'Svens team', I think he'll miss out this season, and I think he'll be sacked. Whether that makes it a bad career choice, I don't know. He'll still get another job in the Championship at somewhere like Leeds or Wednesday fairly soon.
I think he could do very, very well at leeds. And Bates would like his method of transfer dealings given the resale value that they generate
Yes, as long as by 'very, very well' you mean, achieve mid-table football with the odd play-off push on a tight budget, I'd agree.
Personally, although the Hull fans won't thank me for this, I think it is only a matter of time before Leeds (and Everton) get snapped up by some very rich owner(s) with funds to rival the current 'elite' ... they are by far and away the 'juiciest cherries' remaining to be picked in terms of 'potential' in English club football ... if that happens, then frankly, Nigel Pearson is unlikely to be on the managerial target list of either ...
sheffield wednesday would also be a good fit for him, though what he would be able achieve there im unsure.
