From winning positions to draws - minus 8 (Brighton, Blackburn, Burnley & SW)

From losing positions to draws - plus 2 points (Fulham & QPR)

From drawing positions to losing - minus 1 point (Rotherham)

From losing positions to wins - 0

Net result = minus 7 points

Goals conceded from 85th minutes - Blackburn, Burnley (2), Rotherham = minus 5 points
Goals scored from 85th Minute - M'boro, QPR, Fulham = plus 4 points

Net effect = minus 1 point.

(Yes I have too much time on my hands but I get really worked up about these things over the season. Still get mad at some of the past seasons in recent history when we always seem to be on the mucky end of the stick with these things)

For a team that's supposed to be much fitter than last year those stats make very poor reading.

What they also tell us is that we are tactically poor as we know. Particularly when the opposition change things around if we are on top. Good job our goal against Boro was too late for them to change anything.

I think they call it football!! And we've been good at this sort of thing since Adam were a Lad. But I think the tactically naïve comment comes into it somewhere too.
