I think this weekend is interesting, no hazard for Chelsea, no sturridge for us.... Home game for Chelsea, away for us. Both opponents are desperate

LFC are cheating by not being in the cl while brave Chelsea struggle on with their boot laces tied together. Will some Chelsea players be looking to athletico already or will mourinho have them all sorted?

Dropped points this weekend could decide things

    Atletico.

I see that whole playing in Europe debate differently, the chavs could be top of the league tonight and after the weekend if results go their way. They would then be on a high and beat Atletico, going into the Anfield game with a sh!t load of confidence. Hopefully the exact opposite happens, but I would rather be playing more games and winning more games in more competitions, success breeds success.

Well I apologise for the auto correct but I cannot agree with you, sorry but having a week to prepare for this Norwich game and having Chelsea needing to fly to Madrid to a strange hotel, potentially get the run about for 90 mins then fly back to play us away.... It's a huges stinking pile of advantage right on our lawn isn't it?

12-14 kms plus two flights in their legs midweek plus potentially them taking the eye off the ball this weekend is something tangible while confidence is something intangible

Plus this weekend is in our hands so if we lose to Norwich fair enough but we have to call that the longer odds from a betting perspective, I'm more optimistic than most. I'm hoping for a slip up from them and a win from us. That scenarios is most desirable

Oh and another advantage is they play today, we play tomorrow so we will know the result. It's more they have to go play it on its merits and assume we will win but it removes a focus point and might allow one or two minds to drift to midweek

It's a good test of Chelsea mentality and given most of this is not mourinhos team.... Well it'll be interesting. They were not great v Swansea, it's all down to a last hurrah from Sunderland really....
