Rubbish Beef, Swansea were not lucky to get a point, a draw was a very fair reflection on the game. Neither team played well.
Mate, I'm not trying to make you say anything! You have your opinions and I defend your right to air them and disagree with me, but I will argue back, I also have that right.
I can't disagree that the performance was better and more attacking than the previous week, but, I was at that game and believe me it didn't take much to improve on that. I think Bennet was the biggest difference against Swansea, and deserves recognition for that!
Every time i come on here these days it seems like there is a war between Beef / ILD & Carrabuh going on.
But in truth the only thing i can see is that all three off you love Norwich but have completely different outlook on things.
Beef is IMO very optimistic about everything Norwich city and his blind faith and drive makes him back his team to the hilt. (which as a glass half full guy myself has to be applauded)
ILD & Carrabuh are or seem to be IMO very pragmatic which makes them more cautious in there beliefs about Norwich (so come across as glass half empty kind of people)
Both have thier positives and both have thair negitives but it is this that makes us all different, what i dont understand and never will is the need to argue and belittle each other over each others opinions?
I have been keeping my 11 year old son off the web site for the past few month because of this, I am hoping that i can intrigate him in at some point and the numerous fellow canary follower he will bring when i believe it is suitable for them to read and part take. But at present it is not.

These are becoming pointless debates, Swansea could have been out of sight before we equalised. Thoughtless defence of a performance/game just makes the forum worthless unless school ground taunts is all that is desired
I went to both the Wigan and Swansea games, and I thought we were much, much better in the Swansea game, after their first goal went in, both in skill and in intent. I think Bennett's performance justified his inclusion. The only negative I would take from the game is that our central defence, especially Bassong made a couple of mistakes which led to their goals. Bassong has admitted this himself on twitter. Otherwise, I thought, in the middle 60 minutes of the match we were the more incisive team; I for one was heartened. Swansea are a good team, who seemed to have got over their post-cup inertia. I wouldn't be surprised if they well beat a few teams over the next few games, and let's hope that some are around us in the League. We've taken four points from them this season, which is not a bad return.
I thought so too, but because we only managed a draw at home, there are those who cannot accept that this was a better (more spirited, determined - in large parts) performance. So the only criterion they can possibly use to determine whether we played well or not is the final scoreline. Que??

No matter what other people think I reckon it was a good point for us - hard earned from a good side who play nice football and are safe and secure in the way they play. I want the team to win every game as much as every "glass half full" fan but I do take a more pragmatic approach and recognise that every game in this league has the potential to end up pointless and thus a point gained from a much improved performance against a good, solid side is to be applauded in my opinion.
We could have won (on our 35-80 minute performance and if KK had have buried his chance we probably would have) but we could have lost (on our 1-35 and 80 -90 minute performance and Michu's generosity in front of goal) and so by applying that balance a draw was a fair and imo, very good, result.

It was clearly a vast improvement compared to the Wigan game, but we were still lacklustre for considerable periods of the match. it's the lack of the immediate pass and movement that frustrates me, although it was evident at times and the first goal was great, it just needs to be sustained and attempted more frequently
I keep reading on other teams forums here that we have the second weakest squad in the league on paper, after Reading. That of course is purely subjective, but probably not a million miles wrong. So on that basis, we are outperforming that with currrent league position.

As a Swans fan who was at Carrow Road and has been going to your place for several years was not really expecting to get anything on Saturday as we have been on a bad run of late. Having watched you get a deserved win at our place earlier in the season it was evident that you looked a far less potent side this time round and to say we should have led at the break is an understatement. Having missed a few chances either side of Michu's opener your equaliser was certainly a real blow coming against the run of play. Seemed to set you up for a battling second half and was not surprised when you scored again from a set piece which has been our achilles heel all season. You gained the upper hand for a while but Laudrup's decision to bring on subs Hernandez and Rangel helped our cause, our equaliser had looked on the cards for a while with Moore having gone close earlier, your subs on the other hand did little to help especially with your captain deciding to do some cynical fouling in what looked like his swansong as a prem player. We could have snatched it at the end when our Spaniard missed an excellent chance (tho the ball did bobble on a very bumpy pitch) but to come away with a point was ok in what was an entertaining game. See you next season.

I was not happy with a draw on Saturday. That is a fact, I make no apology's for making that comment, but I DO agree it was marginly better than the week before!
My glass half empty attitude (if that's the case) stems from this: People getting excited over a home draw when we needed a win, proclaiming that we have improved just because of one game, the constant berating of people who don't share their views.
I'm looking at the bigger picture, 1 win in the last 16 games, one of the lowest scorers in the division, one of the highest conceders in the division, our top scorers are on 5, we continually play with 8 in the back line, we got knocked out of the FA Cup by a non league team, got destroyed by Villa in the League cup. We gave away points to QPR, West Ham, Newcastle and Spurs when we should have won. Yes we beat Arsenal, but anyone who was at that game will know that a team made up from people on here would probably have beaten them, they were awful. Yes we beat United, our defence kept them out, but they wrecked us in the away game.
It's just not the way I want to see my club play and perform and I can't get excited about dropping another 2 points at home.
I consider myself a dedicated fan/supporter, I haven't missed a game all season, and that's not been a simple task, I don't boo, I do cheer and sing, and leap around with the rest when we score, in short I support my team and always will, BUT, that does not put them above critism when I feel it's necessary.
Pick the bones out that if you want to, add a few "slapheads" if it helps, but realise that we are all supporters and care deeply about the club and it's future, we just hold different view points from time to time.
I'm not sure who you feel has twisted your words ILD, and if it was me I apologise. I certainly hope you don't feel "berated" when I questioned your use of the word "only".

I don't consider your so called "positivity" over one game particulary positive, more like head in the sand regarding the season so far. What I have posted are the facts, ignore them at your peril!
