That is brilliant to read - as has been said, we were on fire at the start of the season, and that form eventually carried us over the line when we stumbled after the Faurlin situation.

Hopefully we can continue the form through the season this time so we finish slightly better.

So if im reading this correct then Roller, we've got more points now than in our previous promotion year, yet people are complaining & we're not as good as we were then???!!

We are doing well on points but we do not have a safety buffer to 3rd place team. Thus, our next game is very important as it is in our hands, should we win, to go six points clear of Leicester. However, rather than "go for it to win", I fear that the emphasis will be "not to loose", thus the result will probably the inevitiable draw.

Its as you were with the points comparison table of this season vs '10/'11.

We're still one point ahead of our former selves.

The last time we got promoted I was confident of beating other teams. This time I dont feel confident of a win before any game we play.

We've slipped two points behind after that defeat at Forest.

Yes, I agree, that season, apart from a few slip ups (e.g. Scunthorpe away), it was often a question of how many goals are we going to score today - this season it is, are we going to score any goals today?

Don't get gloomy lads, just look at the next home fixtures. Home form remains the key. We never do well against Forrest but we beat Watford last time we were there. Keep the faith.

We should be capable of beating anyone in this league comfortably. This league is ****e and our squad is way better than any other. If we don't win the league by 10 points, Redknapp must go.

Is it? We didn't all think it was "sh1te" last promotion season. I don't think getting dicked in the PL for two years should change that.

Sounds like someone's enjoyed too much Xmas booze, there's no way our squad is that much better than others & no way we'll win the league by 10 points. Just have a look at some of the other squads & how many of their players you like to swap for ours & that will give you some idea - given the chance out of a squad size of 16 I'd easily swap 8 or 9.

You sound just like the West Ham fans when they were down a couple of years back, an arrogant sense of entitlement. It doesn't matter how good the players are, if they don't put the effort in they'll go nowhere. All this commentator talk of us being a Premier League squad is bollox, we're an ex Premier League squad which wasn't good enough and still isn't good enough...

At last the penny is dropping...been saying the same thing since pre season.

Dont buy into the hype. We have a chance but they have to put the graft in <ok>

Half way through the season, lots to play for. If this is playing poorly, the only way is up.
As for the squad, a number of contracts will expire and drive new blood forward (would be nice to see us taking a few steps in January, assuming we already know who we won't be keeping).
This should give us optimism, wherever we find ourselves next season.

We had fallen four points behind but that win has clawed us back to within one point of our alter egos.
