"what we have here is grown men – many of them fathers for goodness sake – revelling in signing songs about child molestation."

Could they not just tie their hands together before matches? That would stop them doing it.

how in the **** would tying their hands before a game stop them singing?

Or am I doing a Mindy?

A CAMPAIGN supported by the official Rangers fans board is to lobby First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to make the use of the word 'hun' illegal following the online abuse of pop singer Amy Macdonald.

The move is linked to an internet petition which says the word is a term of "religious hatred, a derogatory and sectarian term for a Protestant".

The campaigners say those using the phrase should be treated no differently than those who use offensive words to describe Catholics.

The term Hunners actually means many in Glasgow slang and interestingly enough was first recorded as being used to ascertain how many blows to the head one Mr William Winton took from a wooden paddle

36 was the precise number

Every day's a school day.

many, a lot. From a buchery of the word 'hundreds'.Ah've told you hunners ae times, dinnae pick yer nose wi yer fork.

Back in the day both sets of OF fans used to sing go home ya huns. Only in the last 30 years or so has it been applied to Rangers fans alone. Who knows why, i've no idea but the argument put forward is that Hun equates to Germans and therefore means Protestant <confused>is ludicrous. As i've said many a time, I was a Prod, born and bred in the east end of Glasgow and NO ONE has ever called me a Hun.

Hun may mean Protestant in Northern Ireland but it does not automatically follow that we start outlawing terms that may have a derogatory meaning in another country. I personally seldom use it though so if they do ban it I could'nt care leass.

he believes Hampden chiefs could put the entire Scottish game at risk if they ban Johannesburg-based King from taking up the reins at the Glasgow giants.
"It would be damaging if they stood in his way because it would mean the present board would still be there, and we've seen what they have done.
"He has already said he is confident of passing the fit and proper test. There is investment there from King and the likes of Douglas Park - they are willing to put their money forward.
"Yet it is all loan deals from Mike Ashley. Under him, the club is just going back into debt. With King, you don't have that problem, so it must be the right way forward.
"We need Rangers back up in the top flight as soon as possible

"But if Dave King comes in and gives the manager money to spend, then it can only be good for the Scottish game. You will have a strong Rangers and a strong Celtic - it will be perfect."

how in the **** can they think he'll get the okay from the league?

then again, it is Scotland <doh>
