Get this walloper <doh>:

I have to be honest and admit that I do not share the euphoria over the criminal proceedings against Craig Whyte and others.
Nor do I understand this euphoria and I am not sure I want to. The lurid details of the infamous £1 deal that saw one of the world’s greatest clubs cast adrift by a spendthrift owner will once again fill pages of Rangers-despising newspapers and we will have to revisit times of great pain over and over.

For what? Justice? Don’t make me laugh.

Craig Whyte and his cohorts will pay the appropriate penalty should they be found guilty of wrongdoing but that will not be justice. If justice is what you seek, you will not get it in a court of law. And you must ask: Justice for whom? For the creditors of oldco? For the fans? Tell me how Rangers FC and its fans will get justice from any criminal convictions of Craig Whyte and others.
Convictions would certainly prove that Rangers were the victims of a scam or swindle but, given that the team, the club and its fans have had to endure three seasons of agony as pariahs and lepers i.e. being treated as wrongdoers, how will this be given redress by the footballing authorities, member clubs and football hacks who all queued up to give Rangers a severe kicking when we were down? Not to mention the turning a blind eye from politicians across the spectrum.
Will there even be an apology?

Don’t hold your breath. Abusing Rangers is the new national sport in Scotland and it is so endemic that even some Rangers fans have ended up doing it. <laugh>

Even contemplating the enormous scale of injustice the Rangers family has suffered brings you to the inescapable conclusion that justice is a forlorn hope in this bigoted wee country. Justice is not the motive of those in the media who will delight in dredging up every horrid detail of the past three or four years of Rangers’ history. These people are not looking to help the club or “get to the truth” for its fans. Raking muck on Rangers is the career of many a journalist so the Craig Whyte trial will be a feast for them.
Similarly, the likes of Regan and Doncaster will not be scanning the details of the trial looking for key points to apologise to Rangers fans over. Justice will not be what the beaks are looking for but justification for their witch hunt will be. We will no doubt be reminded that Whyte was Rangers’ owner so the club had to pay the price. Whether or not Whyte was Rangers’ LEGAL owner should he be convicted of fraud will not and never did matter to these people. Casting Rangers as the victim was never on the agenda.
No, justice will not be served and the problem with the Whyte trial is that he has become the convenient scapegoat, not only for massive mismanagement sins of the previous regime but also for the collective rage of thousands of hurting Rangers fans.
By pouring out your anger on Craig Whyte, you are wasting your emotions and letting those who are really culpable go free. Our “justice” system must have convicted felons to take the sins off into the wilderness.

But there are plenty with blood on their hands in the sorry tale of the constructive dismantling of Scotland’s biggest club.
They may escape the clutches of the Scottish legal system but they cannot escape the universal law:
You reap what you sow.
